Friendship Hotel Hangzhou （West lake）

The hotel's location is truly excellent, very close to the subway station, and surrounded by bustling areas. While it may not offer a direct first-row view of West Lake, its 15th-floor view is actually superior to many lower-story hotels right on the lake, providing a panoramic vista of West Lake. The hotel facilities are complete and seem very new. The bedding in the room was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The toiletries and bathroom fixtures were from high-end brands, indicating good quality. Even the bottled water provided included six bottles of Nongfu Spring, along with milk and soda, plus two additional bottles specifically for tea. There was also a cute little night light Bluetooth speaker for playing music. However, I felt the cleanliness details were not well handled. Initially, upon entering the room, I was thoroughly impressed and touched by various details, even taking photos to write a good review. But when I changed into slippers, I noticed a lot of hair on the floor, especially prominent on the carpet. I initially decided to overlook it, but after showering, I found a long hair on the bath towel and another on the toilet, which instantly disgusted me. After I provided feedback, the staff responded quickly, moving me to a different room that had no issues, and offered a complimentary breakfast. Breakfast brought my good impression of the hotel back up again. The breakfast restaurant is on the 20th floor and is a revolving buffet, so the view is simply unbeatable. The variety of food was also very comprehensive, making for a great experience. Overall, if the cleanliness details were better managed, this hotel, given its location, actually offers much better value for money than hotels right by the lake. It's highly recommended.

This is my third stay at Friendly Hotel this year. Previously, I shared a twin room with a friend, but this time, traveling solo, I opted for the more compact Japanese-style Elegant Room. It's a corner room, not large, but with a better view. My 9th-floor room offered a clear view of West Lake. The room this time provided both yukata and bathrobes. I was asked in advance if I was okay with showering inside the bathtub, which I was. However, with this Japanese-style bathroom, the bathtub is quite small, and water tends to splash out when showering. The 20th-floor revolving restaurant offers expansive views, slowly turning until you're facing West Lake directly. While the breakfast isn't particularly amazing, I still come up for it every time just for the view. The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from Longxiangqiao Station (Exit D) on Metro Line 1. The hotel's decor is elegant and grand, the rooms are quiet, and the service attitude is excellent. Taxis are easily accessible, there are many restaurants nearby, and the room rates are reasonable. It's my top choice when visiting Hangzhou.

The location is fantastic, just a stone's throw from West Lake. There are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, with Intime, Jiebaili, and Gonglian CC all within easy reach. Transportation is also excellent, with Longxiang Subway Station and Longxiang Transportation Hub conveniently located. As an older, established hotel, the service is top-notch. They even provide a complimentary mini-bar, and the tea is delicious! A truly pleasant stay!

The hotel's location is excellent. It's just a few minutes' walk to West Lake, the commercial street, and the subway station. Breakfast is served on the 20th floor in the revolving restaurant, and the selection is extensive. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic. We were very satisfied and will definitely be back!

This is a very famous old hotel in Hangzhou, said to be a former Sino-Japanese joint venture. You can still experience a lot of the essence of Japanese service that has been preserved, such as a clean and hygienic environment, a generous supply of bottled water, and a beautiful panoramic view from the rooftop breakfast area overlooking the entire West Lake. It's definitely worth booking a room with breakfast included, it's a great value.

This is a great hotel! First, let's talk about the service. The doormen are always proactive in helping with luggage, whether checking in or out. The front desk staff are also very efficient and even upgraded our room based on availability. The cleaning staff are exceptionally polite and always greet guests warmly. Regarding the hotel's facilities, while the exterior looks like an older establishment, the interior amenities are excellent, very new, and spotlessly clean. The hotel breakfast is served on the 20th-floor revolving restaurant and offers a wide and abundant selection. Both the Chinese, Western, and Japanese options are delicious, and they are quick to replenish. Furthermore, the hotel's location is excellent. It's very close to Yintai and Gonglian, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. West Lake is just a short walk further, and Longxiangqiao Station on Metro Line 1 is very nearby. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Hangzhou.

The room was decent. Although it was a corner room and a bit small, it had all the necessary amenities and plenty of outlets. The only downside was the street noise; I'd recommend bringing earplugs for sleeping. The bathroom, on the other hand, was quite spacious.

This hotel is truly a hidden gem! While it's been around for a while, it's been beautifully renovated. The large windows in the rooms are fantastic, especially the lake view rooms – they're absolutely stunning! The location is superb; you can reach it directly from Hangzhou East High-Speed Rail Station and Xiaoshan Airport via Metro Line 1. It's also incredibly close to Exit D of Longxiang Bridge subway station. There are plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options nearby, and you can walk to the core scenic area of West Lake in just five minutes. Every staff member is warm and attentive; before I even entered, the doorman was already there to help with my luggage. The front desk staff were professional and had an excellent attitude, and check-in was very quick. A special highlight is the breakfast in the revolving restaurant on the top floor – dining with a view is simply incredible. The twin room was a good size, and the bedding was dry and comfortable. The view of West Lake from the window was expansive and particularly beautiful. On a hot day, it's even more delightful to relax in the room with tea and admire the scenery. Highly recommended! I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Hangzhou. The quality of this established hotel is truly satisfying! 👍👍👍

The staff were incredibly service-oriented and friendly. They even brought our takeout orders right to the room. We had a great view of West Lake and the bustling commercial street nearby, with plenty of delicious food options. Plus, the subway access was super convenient.
