Yishu Hotel (Hubin, West Lake, Hangzhou)

Very spacious room, in general quite clean though there was a sticky spill stain on the floor from previous hotel guests which the cleaning team persistently overlooked despite daily room service. Also the rooms are not sound-proof: our room is the only room located on ground floor w/o neighboring rooms next to us, but during our entire stay we were greatly disturbed by hotel guests from rooms around/above ours. They were very, very noisy for many hours from evening into midnight & despite having lodged a complaint to the reception seeking assistance that these hotel guests to lower down their volume, the situation was unfortunately not improved. Hotel location was ok: about 5-10mins walk to Ding‘an metro/ approx. 15-30mins walk to West Lake/bustling streets @city center. Breakfast was average & the staff took quite awhile to refill the buffet spread which gets empty pretty fast so one likely needs to wait around empty dishes before they can help themselves to preferred (sometimes will not be replenished)/any food. Breakfast room is rather small w/ approx. 10 tables so seats can easily run out esp. during peak hours & where available, one may need to share table w/ others. Free hot drinks are available at hotel lobby & postal packages/food deliveries can be sent to hotel then be collected on shelves from behind the 24h-manned hotel lobby. There are also various restaurants & shops in near vicinity of the hotel. Hotel supposedly offers some tours, but contact person on the advertising poster never got back to us so we booked tours somewhere else instead. Overall a comfortable stay, thank you.

Clean & spacious room. Friendly staff & breakfast still ok. Hotel near the Ding An Road station but need to walk around 10 minutes. Walking distance to West Lake and famous Yintai shopping mall.
