Atour Hotel Pinghai Road, West Lake, Hangzhou

There was a huge, bright light outside the window, shining glaringly all night. My child was so tired they fell asleep, but I barely slept a wink. The front desk staff was very kind and kept apologizing sincerely, but it really messed up my plans. I was supposed to go to the attractions first thing in the morning, but since I didn't get any rest and felt lethargic, I just checked out around noon instead.

I really can't stand the hygiene situation at this hotel! For the few nights I slept there, I developed little red spots all over my body and was itching intensely at night! I checked in on July 26th, and for the first three nights, the itching was so bad it woke me up. On the fourth and fifth days, I changed rooms, but I was still very itchy. My legs were incredibly itchy! I don't dare to stay at Atour Hotel again! After changing rooms, I was about to take a shower and found that the shampoo and conditioner bottles in the shower were empty. I had no choice but to use body wash first and then put my child to bed. The room wasn't prepared seriously at all. Secondly, when I was bathing my child in the shower, I accidentally broke a glass tumbler. When we came back in the evening, I still found broken glass shards on the floor. It clearly hadn't been cleaned up properly! If I hadn't squatted down to pick something up, I would have stepped on them while taking a shower again and cut my foot! The next day, after returning from an outing with my child, I found that the tea bags and empty water bottles from the previous night were still on the table and hadn't been cleaned up! Yesterday, after taking my child to Lingyin Temple and having dinner, we returned to the hotel and prepared for bed, only to find hair all over the bed. It hadn't been cleaned up either. What I absolutely can't stand the most are the little red spots all over my body. How dirty must this bed have been! This is my first time staying at Atour, and it will be my last.

The room was spotless, very spacious, and well-equipped. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and helped me upgrade to an executive king room for the best possible price. They offered complimentary late-night congee every evening and free laundry service. It's about a 10-minute walk to West Lake, which is a bit of a distance, but overall, highly recommended!

Great location, but it also means it's quite crowded. The service was okay. I completely forgot to try the late-night congee. Breakfast was good with a decent variety. The environment was fine, and it was very convenient for an evening stroll. The city noise is understandable, you can't really avoid it. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

It's over 900 meters from West Lake. It was too hot to sightsee during the day, but you could go for a night stroll past Intime. There were some road restrictions. My room didn't have a view of West Lake, though I did get a free upgrade. However, the price was quite high to begin with.
