Good stay, we enjoyed it. Staff very accommodating when we arrived a little early and our room was not ready. It would have been good to know in advance that the air con units were not working due to a scheduled upgrade. This was on the counter at check in. A small heater was provided, however there were no powerpoints that were easy to accesss, we could have put the heater right by the bed, a fire hazard, or we could have left it hanging mid air from the power point by the tv or for the jug. In the end we unplugged the fridge and used that one, but was not the best option. As much as my stay was good, I would probably have chosen elsewhere where the heating system was working for this stay.

JOKE OF A PLACE We were greeted by 1 very nice polite women and another women whom didn’t even acknowledge us being there. No hello no welcome just WHAT ROOM YOU LOOKING FOR! Yolanda is your name and your a pathetic women in the wrong bloody business! Customer service? What a joke Yolanda. calling the police. just to have 10 police officers wasting there time to come down and see nothing wrong with anything we were doing. Why weren’t we arrested? Why were we able to stay? Why did we get our bond back? Why does another man (stranger) complain about service and get police called on him? And everyone let go? Because Yolanda, your own service is pathetic and I’m guessing you are one of the managers or owners! How sad. Consider a new job because customer service is not where humans like you should be! Oh and don’t forget Yolanda you called us racist! For what? Who even says that!? Not one time did we mention any body’s race. Not one time! What a joke. We got to see You And your staff play that card too many times on too many different people and it was only one night, imagine how many other times you racially play the victim. Literally like begging to be realeased from prison. PATHETIC

Everything is good, no meal included. The location is very good, you can reach almost everywhere you want to.Hamilton is not a touristic city comparing to other cities in NZ. So you can choose living here for some days.thanks

We went to the Hamilton Balloon Festival and booked a suite. It was clean overall, but the carpet felt a little old and not as new as it looked in the pictures. The front desk check-in service was clear and enthusiastic.

It is by the river, the environment is very good, there are free parking spaces by the river, but the number is limited. If you can't find a free parking space, you can choose valet parking. Disadvantages: There are urine stains on the toilet seat. At 10 o'clock in the morning, the cleaning staff knew that there were people in the house, but they knocked on the door and opened it, and urged us to check out.

The staff are amazing. I had a health scare while I was staying there. The closest ambulance was 3 hours away. One of the staff members I believe her name was Kodie, drove me in her own vehicle to the hospital. She was amazing. I can't thank her enough.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I did my online booking 2 weeks ago, and then noticed VR Hamilton has a paid car park. Immediately, I cancelled the booking. However, 3 days later, I received a note from our head office, that the payment has gone through. I was shocked and frustrated at the same time, because I never put down the CVC number on my card. (they only asked for the other numbers) I thought that was very cunning. I forced myself to stay there, because the payment had gone through. On arrival, I was shocked how OLD the hotel was. Very old, that even the lift was dirty and squeaky noise. My room was very dark, so I had to ask for a lamp, so I can do some work at night. One of the light bulbs was not working, so had to ring reception. The heater was noisy and very loud. Curtains were dirty and the carpet was filthy as. The ironing board was old and not flat at all. There was kind of a hole in the middle.(shocking) TV was blurry at times and was set on the table, not on the wall. Not much space on the table anyway. Toilet was half full of water, very old one too. Fridge was a little bit ok, but only 4 small tiny milk in there for 2 nights? The car park was very tight and dirty and yet paid $20 per night, closed at 10pm and re-opens at 7am? Inside the building (at the back) on the way to the car park was even dirtier. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. The pictures online are very, very, very different from reality. Very bad reputation for Trip Advisor. It's more than TERRIBLE!

Breakfast is not delicious, do not have breakfast, there are ants and bugs in the room, friends in the same group have been bitten, must pay attention, the room layout is OK, the cleaning is also clean, the front desk brother is very handsome, the service attitude is also very good

The room was really clean and spotless. The beds were so comfy to sleep in, and the bathroom was so clean, and the shower pressure was perfect. Customer service was also very professional overall 9.9/10

The hotel is about 2.5km from the Hamilton train station. We took a taxi from the train station, and the driver charged us NZD25. My booking confirmation said that the check out time was 11:00, but the hotel insisted it should be 10:00 which is fine. The booking confirmation clearly say that breakfast was free, but the hotel tried to charge 13 pp. Hamilton is a nice place which is close to Waitomo and Hobbiton.
