Renaissance Hamburg Hotel

I rarely write reviews, but the Renaissance Hamburg Hotel definitely deserves a huge shout-out! On the day I checked in, there was a lovely lady from Taiwan at the front desk who was incredibly enthusiastic. She proactively asked if I needed any help with my travel plans and even let me know her off-duty time, inviting me to come back and ask her anything before she left. Thumbs up to her! The hotel's location is also excellent, and from a value-for-money perspective, the price was more than reasonable – I'd even say it was a steal.

The room facilities were all pretty good, and while breakfast was simple, it was sufficient. There's no executive lounge. Since I booked through Ctrip, I didn't earn any Marriott elite nights, and hardly any points either.

Located in the city center, 10 minutes away from shopping streets, Lake Astor, and subway stations. The hotel breakfast is very rich, but there are too many people on Sunday morning. The restaurant and bar downstairs are good, and the service staff are extremely enthusiastic and professional.

Very good breakfast, great location, and superb mattresses. Unfortunately, the bathroom is much too small for a 5-star hotel. There's little counter space on the small sink, the bathroom door rattled, and the water flow from the shower and sink jets isn't strong enough to get the shampoo out of your hair. A shame.

To visit Guan Guan/ROFIN, it is inconvenient and expensive to take a taxi outside the city. A trip costs easily 30-50 euros. So I applied to upgrade the accommodation standard.
