Overall it was very reasonable and very good. However, parking is on the street, so it was a little difficult for first-timers. Look for a place or how to park. So when I asked the person walking, I was told that it was perfect. You can stop from ５ in the evening to the morning, but it seems impossible to stop at the yellow double line and in front of the person's house. There was a bar right next door (partly?) And there was a color 々 food shop nearby. Chinese, Indian, fish & chips. I think there were other steak shops such as venison. The backyard I saw from the room was also very peaceful and nice. If I had time, I wanted to take it slow. It was about 15 minutes by car to the ferry port to the Auckland Islands. A company called North Link? was running and there was a ３ flight a day.

We stayed at The Bridge Guest Hotel for 10 night and what a lovely experience. Hans was so accommodating, he offered to make us up packed lunches, asked if we wanted to use push bikes to get around, offered for us to use umbrellas. Hans even said to our friend who lives in the village and we came up to visit, that she was welcome to join us for breakfast whenever she wanted, she did twice and loved it. The room we stayed in was very spacious and clean with two comfy chairs to relax in the evening and watch the TV or enjoy the view of the hills opposite. There was a kettle in the room with a supply of coffee, tea and milk which was topped up daily. We had patio doors that opened up to the garden area. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The breakfast has a great selection and everything we tried was great. The coffee was great too. The hotel is in a fantastic location in the village and right near Helmsdale River, a short walk to the beach, there is a Spar shop just across the road, a cafe - Thyme and Plaice, a chip shop - La Mirage and a couple of shops for gifts etc. A massive thank you to Hans for being such a great host and making our stay a great experience and we would certainly recommend your hotel to others.
