Galicia Nueva, Castle Hotel

Galicia Nueva was an absolute treasure I stumbled across by accident while driving across Europe, and it turned out to be one of the most magical hotel stays I’ve had in years. I originally booked just one night in the Alina Suite, but the hotel was so beautiful, quiet, charming, and restorative that I immediately extended my stay by another three days. Honestly, I would have stayed for two weeks without hesitation if I could have. The only reason I left was because the hotel was fully booked for a conference, and I genuinely hated to go. Everything about this place feels special. The castle itself is stunning, and full of delightful surprises — the gardens, the little chapel, hidden passageways, and beautiful spa and steam rooms all make it feel like stepping into another world. It was like being in Wonderland. The restaurant was also exceptional. Every single thing I ordered was delicious, but the consommé is something I am still thinking about. Truly outstanding food, beautifully prepared, and made even better by the warmth and attentiveness of the restaurant staff, who went out of their way to make every meal feel special. What really made the stay unforgettable, though, was the people. The staff were kind, warm, welcoming, fun, and incredibly responsive throughout my stay. There was a generosity of spirit here that is very rare and very memorable. I was also lucky that the hotel was nearly empty during the days I was there, which made the whole experience feel even more peaceful and dreamlike. But even allowing for that, this place is extraordinary. I cannot recommend Galicia Nueva highly enough. Five stars, five stars, five stars. I fully intend to return, and honestly, if life ever becomes too stressful, this is exactly the kind of place I would come back to for a month just to reset.

Luxury castle hotel near Lucenec city. the rooms are comfortable and the staff very friendly. The castle hotel is very beautiful and the castle garden too.

As we were 11 family members, with 5 teenagers, we booked 3 suites and were delighted that breakfast was included and charmed by the welcoming drinks on our arrival. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and beautifully and creatively appointed (a telescope!); the restaurant food uniformly of excellent quality, both in the formal main dining room and in the casual wine cellar. I have nothing but admiration for the vigilance with which the staff attended to our every individual need and the indoor and outdoor amenities were hugely appreciated by all ages. We had experienced high-end city airbnbs (Prague, Vienna and Budapest) and stumbling upon this superb hotel (one hesitates to say in the middle of nowhere, but it certainly seemed that way) was a welcome revelation and wonderful surprise. I wholeheartedly recommend it to any group seeking a conference or retreat venue, or indeed, to anyone looking for a peaceful setting in which to decompress and take stock! It was very reasonably priced for the value received, too. And of course, it's a natural for weddings -- there was one while we were there and we weren't bothered in the least!

Wirst bed ever. Double size, or King , with two separate mattresses .Stupidity of management . And also very poor air-condition, And same price , like I paid in central London .Breakfast room looks like buffet in hostel, in my opinion. I would pay €120 max for But don’t coming back.

Location is usually a priority in choosing a hotel: Close to transportation, attractions, restaurants and shops. Glacia Neuva isn’t located close to anything. Two hours from Bratislava or from Kosice, this hotel is a destination. (if you have more money than time, the hotel has a helipad.) The blue edifice with a commanding views in all directions, retains the majesty of its origins as a 600 year old castle, Elegant and rich in history, this hotel is more than worth the journey.

I have visited the castle several times, but we always feel special here and, most importantly, can truly relax and unwind. I think this is primarily a trip for 1-2 nights at most, not for a longer stay, as you might get bored. The castle and its surroundings don’t offer many activities, so a short visit is enough. The gastronomy will impress you, as will the wine selection, the themed yet luxurious spaces and rooms, the friendly staff, and the beautiful scenery and surroundings. As I said, it’s perfect for a short trip, ideal for a romantic weekend or similar occasions. The place is truly magical, and we always feel amazing here.

I had an honour to stay in the hotel on my business trip. As somebody else had made my hotel reservations, I had no idea of the hotel concept in beforehand. To my surprise my bag was carried to room and I was served a welcome drink. Hotel is amazing from inside and outside. I had a dinner in a restaurant with good company and dinner was fabolous. The first time for me to give 5 stars to a hotel.
