Great place to stay and relax from the city noise. You can enjoy a great buffet plus a view of the lake. The staff is highly helpful and kind to make the stay be more convenient.

Stunning hotel. Bar the necessary evil of automated check-in, the hotel was warm and welcoming. Excellent views, great location to access hakone and we wished we had booked multiple night. Delicious mixed buffer dinner. View from our room attached. Wonderful onsen experience. Would recommend.

Really liked this hotel. The location is excellent, right by the Taosendai Ropeway station. Both dinner and breakfast are buffet-style. Dinner lasts an hour and a half, and drinks are all complimentary. The onsen (hot spring bath) was also great; I really enjoyed my time here. It's very quiet at night, though it is quite far from the bustling areas and requires taking a bus. There are also no convenience stores nearby.

The hotel is new and well operated. We have booked with breakfast and dinner buffet. There are various kinds of drinks provided, including whisky, wine, beer, soft drinks and fruit juice, worth for trying, but there are limited choices of food. The view of the room is perfect as you can see the lake and the cable car station without any obstruction from your balcony. The hot spring spa at the hotel is wonderful, with indoor and outdoor portion and outside the hot spring, there are kimono that you could choose to dress during your stay. There is a private spa room but it’s full during my stay so we could not try it.

The shuttle service from 小田原 is very helpful. Otherwise it will take a fuss to get to the hotel by public transport as it is getting quite crowded with all tourists.
The buffet breakfast and dinner are great and the onsen facilities are new.

I absolutely loved this hotel! Everything from booking, arranging the shuttle via email, to check-in and check-out, was incredibly smooth. The private onsen, which I reserved in advance via email, was also a wonderful experience. The location is fantastic, right next to Togendai – just a 5-minute walk away. It's super convenient for visiting Owakudani and taking the Hakone Sightseeing Cruise. If the hotel shuttle schedule doesn't work for you, you can easily catch a bus from Togendai to Odawara hub. What's more, the Togendai bus runs every 15 minutes, and it's the starting point, so you'll never have to worry about not getting a seat or a place for your luggage. The hotel's buffet breakfast and dinner, with free-flowing drinks, were also a highlight. Most importantly, my husband left his headphones at the hotel. When we realized, we were already in Kamakura, preparing to head to Yokohama. We immediately called the hotel, and their response was incredibly fast. They quickly located the headphones and sent them via courier to the nearest express pickup point at our Yokohama hotel. We received them successfully before returning home. A huge thank you! I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. There was not a single thing to complain about throughout our stay.

The room was spacious and very clean. Although it was a bit of a trek to get there, the surroundings were beautiful and it was convenient for visiting Owakudani. The buffet was delicious and extensive, and there was a public hot spring bath, as well as rooms with private baths. Overall, it's definitely worth staying here when you're in Hakone.

Located right across from Togendai Station, so keep an eye out for it! The rooms are spacious and clean. The hot springs and buffet are fantastic. There's a shuttle bus service to and from Odawara Station, but you need to book it in advance. A typical resort hotel!

The service was excellent, and the hot springs were great. We also enjoyed the foot bath service. The dinner buffet offered a wide variety of dishes. The hotel is very close to Togendai Station (both the train station and the port), and there's a small path from the hotel that leads right there.

Our Hakone trip's biggest surprise was definitely staying at the Ashinoko Hanaori ryokan. The entire experience was fantastic, far exceeding our expectations. I especially want to highlight the rooms, the food, and the private onsen!
The rooms were surprisingly spacious, a clever blend of Japanese and Western styles. Even with family, it never felt cramped. The furnishings were exquisite and tidy, and all amenities were well-provided. Sitting by the window, gazing at the beautiful Ashi Lake scenery, was incredibly relaxing.
The food was another huge plus for the ryokan. The buffet breakfast and dinner offered a wide variety, featuring fresh local ingredients. There were both characteristic Japanese dishes and delicate desserts, all with a refined and authentic taste. If you book in advance, you can even dine with a lake view, making it a feast for both the eyes and the palate.
But the private onsen was the absolute highlight – amazing value for money and incredibly private. The bathwater was warm and soothing, and soaking in it completely relaxed my body, washing away all travel fatigue. Taking a dip in the private onsen at night, accompanied by the tranquil night sky and a gentle breeze, created an utterly immersive and therapeutic atmosphere.
The ryokan's convenient location was the icing on the cake. It's directly opposite the Togendai transport hub, making travel incredibly easy. Whether you're heading to Ashi Lake for the pirate ship, or taking the ropeway and buses to various attractions, you don't need to go out of your way – the boarding points are within walking distance, saving a lot of hassle. What was especially convenient was that our plan for the next day was to travel from Hakone to Mount Fuji. We could take a direct bus from Togendai to Gotemba; the schedule was convenient, the journey smooth, and there was no need for extra transfers, which significantly saved travel time and made our trip more worry-free and efficient. The ryokan's service was also very thoughtful. The overall experience was excellent, suitable for both family trips and romantic getaways. It's definitely our top choice for accommodation in Hakone, and we'll certainly stay here again next time!

This was, without a doubt, the best hotel of our trip. The location is excellent, with the bus stop and Pirate Ship tours right across the street. Facing the lake and backed by mountains, the hotel offers absolutely stunning views. The tatami room design was incredibly comfortable, and the air conditioning was very powerful. The entire hotel provides Japanese-style bathrobes, and the hot springs ♨️ have a wonderful ambiance, offering great privacy and freedom. Highly recommend! I must also mention the incredible dinner buffet—it far exceeded our expectations. Every dish was restaurant-quality; the presentation, taste, and variety were all exceptional and well worth it!

The hotel is less than a 5-minute walk from Togendai Station. If you don't have much luggage, you can easily carry it along the stone path. The private onsen (hot spring) is 3000 yen for 40 minutes and is definitely worth experiencing, but there are only two, so you need to book in advance. Both breakfast and dinner are buffet style, and dinner times also require a reservation.

Japan's overall standards are consistently high, and the hot springs were decent, though not my favorite. The best part was definitely the breakfast and dinner – so many options! It was quite busy though. The location is very close to the cable car station, about a 5-minute drive.
