I've stayed in many hotels over the years, but this one is, without a doubt, the worst and most disappointing I've ever experienced. At 7800 RMB per night, the actual experience was even worse than a typical three-star hotel in China – the value for money is absolutely outrageous. The hygiene and odor issues in the room were severe. The towels and yukata provided were all damp and smelled awful. The entire room had a distinct urine and mold smell, which was absolutely disgusting. This level of hygiene is completely unacceptable. The onsen (hot spring) experience was equally terrible. While many hotel onsens these days aren't truly natural spring water, this one was even worse; the water had a very strong, pungent chlorine smell, just like a swimming pool. The room's view also fell far short of expectations. The promotions or booking information led one to believe there would be a lake view, but in reality, almost no lake was visible from the window. The view was almost entirely blocked by trees, making the so-called 'scenic view' completely misleading. Service was equally appalling. Upon arrival and departure, staff members simply stood by the door, making no effort whatsoever to assist with luggage. For a hotel charging 7800 RMB per night, this level of service is extremely poor and completely unfitting for the price. In summary, this stay was an absolutely terrible experience and severely impacted my entire trip. Even if it were free, I would feel it was a waste of time, let alone having to pay such an exorbitant room rate. 'Very bad' doesn't even begin to describe the experience at this hotel. I strongly advise against anyone with basic expectations for hygiene, service, and overall experience staying here.

Our room had a view of Mount Fuji, and we stayed in a Japanese-style room on the third floor. The hot springs were not crowded during the off-season, and there was a shuttle bus to Odawara. The only downside was that the food was very mediocre.

How do I put this? I'm not sure how this hotel got such high ratings on Ctrip, as it doesn't quite match the score. Pros: The room was quite spacious, and the view was absolutely incredible. On a clear morning, you could even see Mount Fuji starting to appear. The staff was very enthusiastic, and the food quality was consistently good. Because of its secluded location, it's very quiet and a great escape from the tourist crowds. Cons: The hotel gives off a vibe that its overall operations are struggling, yet they're trying hard to maintain it. The smell in the room was also unpleasant, and it was evident in many places that they were cutting costs, making it feel like a hotel from over a decade ago. Having stayed in many onsen hotels, this one was definitely on the lower end.

Waking up to Mount Fuji in the morning was incredibly therapeutic. This stay at Ryuguden exceeded my expectations in terms of both environment and service. They even arranged the 'Yuri' room type, which offered an absolutely stunning direct view of Mount Fuji! When we arrived on the first day, it was incredibly foggy, so I was prepared not to see Mount Fuji. But to my surprise, when I drew back the curtains the next morning, the entire Mount Fuji stood clearly before my eyes, with a sea of clouds intertwined with the mountain peaks. It was both magnificent and gentle, and I felt instantly healed. The only minor complaint is that the hotel's breakfast and dinner were quite ordinary, not as good as the meals at hot spring hotels like Noboribetsu.

We really enjoyed our stay in Ryuguden: from the warm welcome of the manager upon arrival to the convenient shuttle transfer back to Odawara station. We liked the onsen facilities, delicious dinner and breakfast and the view out the window on the lake Ashi. Spasibo from Russia! 💛

The service was excellent! A ********* guy at the front desk even escorted us to our room and explained everything. The weather was beautiful on the day we checked in, and we had a great view of Mount Fuji from our room. The hotel is divided into the main building and an annex. Guests from both buildings can use the outdoor onsen in the main building. All in-house guests stay in the annex, which has 24 rooms, each facing Mount Fuji. Soaking in the onsen at the annex at night felt almost like a private bath, as there were hardly any people around. Both dinner and breakfast were Kaiseki meals, which made the experience feel very special. There's a shuttle bus service to and from Odawara, but you need to book it early on the official website to get your preferred time, as it's shared with the Prince Hotel next door, and they have a lot of guests. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

The service was absolutely fine, although there were some disadvantages of staying at Ryuguden: 1. Due to location nearby the Lake there were plenty of mosquitos spoiling the night dreaming.We couldn't find any special items in our room against them. 2. No laundry. Sometimes situations require that presence. 3. Despite we got "You are always welcome and we appreciate you belong here" vibe, the bottles in the bar have it's additional cost. It could be free for that amount of charge we pay.

There aren't many hot spring pools, but the outdoor one at the main building offers stunning views of Mount Fuji and the large lake.

The room was decent, but the view from the first floor wasn't great. I imagine the higher floors would have a better view. The food was good, typical Japanese style, and the service was also good.

Friendly staff and nice view with Fuji mountain. Stay peaceful.

Great onsen hotel with a spectacular view of both Lake Ashi and Mt Fuji!!

nice lake view, room is really big. indoor Onsen is small but the outdoor one has view of Fuji. Food is average.

Apart from the limited seats for the shuttle, overall the service was great especially the staff at dining place were great.

Location of the onsen resort is great, view of Mt. Fuji is fantastic. However, the onsen facilities is just above average. Dinner menu is terrible compare to other onsen that i have stayed in the past. Breakfast is just average. Service is just average as we are served mainly by trainee.
