I had an amazing stay at MGallery CatBa! The hotel is located next to the best beach on the island, the view from my balcony was gorgeous. The hotel has plenty of facilities for the guests to enjoy: spa, two lovely pools and kids centre. Check out the pretty rooftop bar right near the swimming pool and the jacuzzi, the view is worth visiting. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The staff were super helpful, especially Hien and Thanh at the front desk, who promptly organized the drive for me to go to the downtown after I checked out. I will be certainly coming back in the near future!

An incredible set of buildings with a huge range of facilities, including many pools, beaches, restaurants and bars. Unfortunately the level of service does not match the quality of the building and although there are many members of staff, they are often not doing anything or just on their phones. This meant things like ordering drinks or paying for activities such as water sports hire took a long time or was very difficult. No table service, even when we were the only people in the bar. Often drinks had to made in another part of the hotel and so took a very long time to arrive. Loud music played on the beach every morning from 0720, so worth asking for a room at the back the hotel if you don’t want to be disturbed. A lot of the features seemed to be for “show” rather than properly supported. The arcade for example, looks great but most machines were broken or switched off and people were more interested in posing for photos rather than the actual functionality of the equipment. Gym looks nice in photos but limited equipment. Similarly, a swim up bar in the indoor pool looked promising, but not stocked or staffed. Pool tables on the roof top bar look nice, it terrible quality if you actually want to play pool! That said, pools were very nice, beach was nice and water lovely. A lot of rubbish on the beach, but sadly this is true across most of Ha Long Bay. Easy access to the town centre of Cat Ba by using electric taxi service outside the hotel at 10,000 VND per person each way. Several restaurants , bars and tour companies in the town. Room quality was excellent, especially with the sea views; price included buffet breakfast and dinner which made it pretty decent value for money.

Fantastic views and architecture, the greenery all around is amazing. The hotel has a lot of entertainment - karaoke, slot machines, beach sports. Don't have a boring time. Excellent breakfasts - there is both Asian and European food. Big choice. The only negative is the quality of the water in the sea - it is cloudy, and there is also a suspicion that household water is drained directly into the bay. It is sad. The sea does not attract a five-figure hotel. Few of the hotel employees speak English!!

The young guy in the reception is very nice and tried to solve any problem we had. He fixed the small lamp over the bed. Unfortunately we needed to leave the hotel earlier than planned because the noise from the street were very loud. Karaoke until 22:30 every evening. There are also some other problems. We asked them to do the laundry and they said it will be finished after 2 hours but it took 24 hours. It was well done though. Also when showering the entire bathroom becomes wet and there is no way to dry the floor. I wish they would provide a water scrape and the problem will be easily solved. The toilet was not clean when we arrived. We also missed a bed table for both beds and reading lamps. The breakfast has 1 choice of food, 1 choice of drink. The hotel is however OK for a short stay. The view is very nice.

The location is good, not far from the dock, it is more convenient to eat and buy nearby. The facilities are general. The bathroom is equipped with an electric heating water heater. The capacity is very small. After a few minutes of starting the bath, the water begins to cool down and finally becomes warmer than the cold water. Health is not bad, it is relatively clean.

I stayed for a few nights in Galaxy Hotel and it was a wonderful experience! I booked a boat tour which I highly recommend and spent the next day exploring the island on a motorbike that you can also get from the hotel! It's perfectly located to check out local restaurants and the night life and the staff were super helpful in organising everything! The free breakfast was a great way to start the day and the room was quiet and comfortable.
