Prospect Hill

American River|8.04km from Prospect Hill
Yes, right at the beach! In the morning, I can feed and feed the birds. The children are very happy. The evening hotel dinner was also very good and the price was moderate! Recommended to go to Kangaroo Island to play with friends!

American River|8.35km from Prospect Hill
We had a lovely few days at Sunrise on Failie. Kevin & Yvonne were very friendly and helpful and the apartment (No 2) was very clean, spacious and comfortable and had a full kitchen with pretty well everything thought of in order to make our stay an enjoyable one. There's even a coffee machine and some coffee to boot! The windows are all double-glazed which makes it considerably warmer than outside through the day. No doubt it will help keep you cooler longer in summer. There is a laundry available too should you outlast your clean clothes which can come in very handy. Views are lovely and, if you like peace and quiet and communing with nature, then this should suit you very well. American River is sheltered from the prevailing winds, in winter at least, and it is half an hour's drive to both Penneshaw and Kingscote. We had dinners at the Mercure and Wanderer's Rest, both of which are a short walk from the accommodation, and they were very good. If you are on a budget then just bring your provisions over on the ferry and the fully-equipped kitchen will serve you extremely well. Kevin & Yvonne are justifiably proud of 'Sunrise' and are very relaxed and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Kingscote
The bed was super comfortable and the location, right across the road from the tidal pool, was lovely. It was very quiet - no noise whatsoever - so we had an excellent nights sleep. I lost my ring while I was there and when I contacted the motel after I had left, they called when they found it and organised to have it mailed to me. Super service!!

Kingscote
Nice hotel locating at Kingscote, Kangaroo Island. The beach next to is small but has beautiful scence. We stayed at upper delux floor which is spacious with kitchen and washing machine. Supermarket and restaurants are closed to but open up to 6:00 pm. Dinner can be served inside the hotel with laat order around 8:30. It's good for self drive that parking spaces are adequate.

Kingscote
First, the location is very good. In the small town of Kingscote, there is a gas station near the hotel, opposite the sea. Secondly, this hotel seems to be managed by an elderly couple. They live here, very warm, kind, and inform us in detail about where to eat nearby, when to close, and then ask them if you have any questions. Third, the parking garage is right next to the residence. It is very convenient, the room is very clean and tidy, there are free bread and milk. Fourth, the bed in Australia is smaller, the bed is basically 1.5 meters, and the cot is basically 1 meter. Fortunately, our children are still small and can be crowded. Overall, it is worth choosing!
