Mercure Haikou City Center

Room: Spacious with a large TV, perfect for screen casting movies. The only downside is the lighting at night – you can't just turn on the bathroom light; it turns on all the room lights, which is inconvenient if you're staying alone. Breakfast: Very rich, the cold dishes were exceptionally good, and there were local delicacies too, so no need to go out and try them elsewhere.

The hotel boasts a great location and is impeccably clean. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of choices. Its excellent position puts you close to attractions like the Qilou Old Street, and you can even catch the sunset at the beach in the evening.

Amy Zhong at the front desk was incredibly enthusiastic. We booked through Trip.com and got a free upgrade to a high-floor deluxe room, which offered a much better view. The room hardware for a hotel of this caliber was just passable. The breakfast, however, was quite good with a wide variety of choices.

The hotel staff saw that we had children and seniors with us and proactively provided kids' toiletries. My parents really loved the decor, and they even arranged a high-floor room with both city and sea views for us. The staff were very enthusiastic, always greeting us warmly and being very friendly. The breakfast was also excellent. It's a hotel we would definitely choose again next time. Thumbs up! 👍

Everything was okay. The breakfast had local specialties, and it offered good value for money. However, the staff's service level needs improvement. First, they mistakenly assigned me a room that was already occupied. Second, when I tried to check into another hotel in a different city in the afternoon, it showed that I hadn't checked out yet. Hainan has strict regulations and doesn't allow guests to have multiple rooms open simultaneously. I had to make a call to get it sorted out.

This hotel has a good vibe, but the ventilation isn't great, and the incense was a bit overpowering. The laundry facilities are quite new, and the breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options, including a noodle station with plenty of toppings. However, there wasn't much for kids to do, and my children kept complaining and wanted to move to a different place. The room floor might not have been cleaned properly, as my kids' socks turned black after walking barefoot.

The room was clean and tidy, and the front desk staff had a great attitude. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. I highly recommend this hotel.
