African Roots Gulu

We had a very mixed night because it was very noisy. The hotel was hosting a group of about twenty people, not to mention guests who arrived after midnight with their luggage right above our room. If the evening dinner was top notch both in terms of service and the quantity and quality of the dishes, breakfast was a disaster. We were supposed to have lunch around 7:00, when the young girl arrived, she was alone to prepare and serve everything for the entire hotel. We were hardly able to get a coffee around 7:30, had to go down to the kitchen to get some milk which was thrown in our faces and left without eating anything

We stayed one night on the way to Kidepo. Very correct, with good service and food. The rooms are clean and the service is attentive. On the way back from Kidepo we stopped again to eat. Recommended if you are on your way to the north, or on the way back.

Guesthouse molto carina, ben tenuta e curata, personale molto gentile efficiente e servizievole. Ci hanno aiutati con il nostro bagaglio nelle mani della linea aerea. Ci hanno anche lavato i vestiti sporchi. Non c'è l'aria condizionata in camera, ma non ne abbiamo sentito il bisogno, di giorno faceva caldo, ma eravamo fuori, di notte invece rinfrescava. Le camere sono all'ombra ben riparata per cui non si scaldano. La guesthouse si trova nella zona residenziale dove ci sono anche edifici governativi.

Apparemment, ce serait le meilleur hotel de Gulu... Honnêtement, les chambres sont très sombres et le mobilier basique. Il y a un petit jardin où l'on peut s'asseoir pour profiter un peu du soleil, mais c'est aussi basique. Le restaurant est relativement grand, la nourriture y est bonne et le personnel sympathique. Je conseillerais cet hotel pour une nuit de passage.
