The environment is great, and there are many parent-child activities, so the kids won't get bored. They all had a fantastic time. We weren't quite used to Guizhou cuisine, so we just ordered takeout directly to the hotel. There's a lawn about a 3-4 minute walk from the hotel where you can watch the sunset.

Avoid this place! We booked this hotel specifically for a family-friendly vacation and were sorely disappointed. Thankfully, we only stayed one night; we won't be returning. First, a positive: the service was excellent. All the staff members were very friendly, especially the housekeeping and baggage handlers, who greeted us every time we saw them. Very warm and welcoming. Now for the negatives: The hotel's design is dim. The hallways and room lighting were all incredibly dark. I really don't understand how this hotel defines itself as a 'family' or 'resort' hotel. If it's a resort hotel: the water pressure in our room was extremely low, the TV was broken, and there were no welcome activities whatsoever. The tiny indoor swimming pool was being used for a summer swimming camp for kids during our stay, which completely put us off wanting to swim. As for the outdoor pool, it was small and dirty (with floating insects and debris). If it's a family hotel: the 'kids' play area' we took our child to was abysmal; honestly, it was worse than what you'd find in some second or third-tier hotel chains. Especially if you have young children, you should definitely avoid this hotel. For the same price, there are far better options in Guiyang city.

The hotel's garden design is beautiful, and the lobby view is stunning, especially at sunset. Perhaps due to the lighting design, the hotel appears dim and a bit old-fashioned, and the rooms are no different. The Chinese restaurant, however, has good food. Due to a typhoon, my flight was canceled, so I made a last-minute decision to stay here. I spoke with the front desk twice, hoping for a 2 PM late check-out since my flight was later that evening, but was denied both times. I ended up having to wait in the lobby bar. However, I noticed several other guests checking out after 2 PM, and I also learned that the occupancy rate for the day was only around 50-60%. For a hotel positioned as a resort, this level of inflexibility is really disappointing.

Great location and easy parking. Check-in was a bit impersonal, but the room was clean. However, the sofa inside and the cushions on the balcony loungers had stains. The hotel offers plenty of activities for kids, and the indoor pool is perfect for families, though it can get crowded in the evenings. Overall, it's a good place, but not top-tier as some might claim.

Having previously stayed at Anantara hotels in Thailand and been very impressed, I specifically chose to book one of the only two Anantara properties in China for the end of my Guizhou trip. The hotel's surroundings are beautiful, with a lovely staggered layout and an abundance of greenery. We were upgraded to a panoramic king room with an excellent view. There were also plenty of activities for children, especially the ethnic costume photoshoot. This was a lifesaver, as my rebellious son, who usually hates having his picture taken, ended up looking very handsome! The bonfire sunset ceremony in the evening was also a lot of fun. A big thank you to Miss Apple for her service; she added me on WeChat beforehand to discuss our needs and kept us informed about all the hotel activities. When we were in a rush to check out, she even handled all the post-departure billing for us. Anantara truly put a perfect end to our Guizhou journey!

For my Guizhou trip, I chose Anantara, which is conveniently located close to the airport. The environment and air here are excellent, and it's very peaceful. It's perfect for families with kids. Wendy at the fitness center helped us book the best time slot for our travel photoshoot, and the M&W photographers gave us detailed instructions on poses, making the shoot a breeze. A special shout-out to Apple, our butler, for her meticulous service. I'd definitely stay at Guiyang Anantara again!

The room facilities were very outdated, the outdoor pool was closed, and the hotel's location was extremely remote. The actual activities didn't match what a resort-style hotel should offer, but those aren't the main points. Let me elaborate on the bizarre aspects of this hotel: We arrived around 9 PM with three rooms booked: one garden view and two poolside twin rooms. The front desk staff were indifferent, like supermarket cashiers. During check-in, we were assigned rooms in two separate buildings. Oddly, one poolside and one garden view room shared the same room number on different floors. After registration, no one paid attention to us. After repeatedly asking about our luggage, a male staff member finally stood up and said they would deliver it, but then nothing happened. I couldn't help but ask, 'Our three people's luggage is in three different places, and you didn't even ask where to send what?' Then, reluctantly, he directed us. The front desk was in a huge area, and we stood there cluelessly, with no one to show us to our rooms. We ended up searching on our own. After failing to find an elevator, we returned to inquire at a bar-like area behind the front desk. A female staff member finally led us to our rooms. I complained about the zero service and threatened to complain to Trip.com. Later, a female duty manager came to our room and admitted that the service was inadequate, stating that they do have a policy to deliver luggage to the rooms. She offered to waive the 70 RMB breakfast fee for one child in our party. At this point, I thought it was just a matter of less-than-perfect service, nothing major. The turning point came the next morning. Opening the door, I found that outside the window was a tall tree right against the balcony, and behind the tree was a parking lot. This had absolutely nothing to do with the poolside room I booked. After complaining to Trip.com, I went downstairs for breakfast and spoke to the front desk staff about the room type. This staff member (I felt her attitude was quite sincere) admitted that they had arbitrarily changed the room type without informing me beforehand and promised to deal with it later. But 'later' never came. My companions encountered a male staff member in the hotel garden wearing a badge that looked like 'Housekeeping Director'. They approached him to complain, and that's when strange things started to happen. First, he twisted the concept, turning my issue into dissatisfaction with the view outside the window. I corrected him, stating that I was unhappy about the room type being changed without my knowledge. Then, an even more peculiar thing happened: he actually told me that it was an upgrade to a panoramic room type! My questions were: 1. Why wasn't I informed about the upgrade during check-in? Don't I need to agree to it? What's the point of making a reservation then? 2. My other companion booked a garden view room on the 9th floor, room 16, while I was in room 16 on the 7th floor. They were on different floors, but in the same position. Wouldn't a panoramic view be better from a higher floor? My 'upgraded' room was on the 7th floor, and which view is better, my original poolside booking or the parking lot outside my current window? Now, about the resolution: After multiple communications with Trip.com, the hotel, being a large establishment, acted superior and unyielding. They haughtily offered a 10% refund of the room fee as compensation, which I did not accept. I actually stayed in a garden view room, and referencing prices for the same period, there's about a 12% price difference. A 10% refund doesn't even cover the price difference. The room price was 1200 RMB, and I demanded a 50% refund as compensation. The hotel ignored me. Trip.com staff stated that despite their repeated negotiations, they couldn't get the hotel to budge. Even more outrageous, when checking out, the female staff member from that morning brought over two plush toys. I repeatedly refused to accept them, but she was sincere, saying it had nothing to do with the room type issue and was just a hotel mascot for the child as a souvenir. I accepted them. BUT!! Later, when Trip.com gave feedback, they included one child's breakfast and two plush toys as part of the compensation! Such a large hotel, without integrity or a bottom line, it completely redefined my perception of a star-rated hotel. I've traveled extensively, and this is the first time I've encountered such a clear case of them giving the wrong room type, assuming I wouldn't notice, and then fabricating lies and excuses after I discovered it, showing absolutely no willingness to admit their mistake, with an attitude of 'what can you do about it?' Indeed, I ultimately couldn't get my reasonable demands met, but their integrity was shattered. This is the first time I've written such a review, to warn others to be cautious before booking. I am a Trip.com Gold Diamond member and vouch for the authenticity of the above review! Figures 1 to 3 show the actual room type I stayed in, and Figure 3 shows the room type I booked.

The hotel's decor and facilities are generally five-star quality or better. The front desk staff even provided connecting rooms as requested, which was very convenient for us with the kids. The travel photography service was quite good; the outfits, hotel scenic spots, and photography team were all excellent. It would be even better if the breakfast had more variety and the gym equipment was more comprehensive. There are quite a few new buildings being constructed nearby, which does affect the view from the window a bit. Overall, I'm quite satisfied.

Had a wonderful weekend with my family! A big shoutout to Miss Apple for her excellent service. The room was incredibly spacious, clean, and hygienic. The resort grounds are home to a variety of birds and plants. The bayberries were delicious, and the sunrise view was absolutely stunning. We'll definitely be back with the family. The service was top-notch!
