Sheraton Guilin Hotel

The room was clean. The welcome fruit was one of the best I've had in a hotel. They communicated promptly before, during, and after my stay, and responded quickly to any requests. You can really feel that the staff at this hotel are dedicated to their work.

The hotel is right by the Li River, very close to Elephant Trunk Hill and Zhengyang Road. I really liked the hotel lobby and the breakfast area with its high ceilings – very grand! The room was also very clean and faced the Li River. The soundproofing was a bit poor but acceptable. The toilet flush was incredibly loud though! The breakfast had a great variety and was delicious.

This is an established five-star hotel, and as soon as you step into the lobby, you're greeted with a comfortable and grand ambiance. The room was clean and odor-free. The front desk staff were highly efficient and knowledgeable. The guest services were attentive and thoughtful. I originally planned to stay for one night, but extended my stay for another night because of the excellent service.

After much consideration, I decided to book the Sheraton Hotel for my trip to Guilin, and I was definitely not disappointed; my experience exceeded expectations. The hotel is right by the Li River, just a few minutes' walk from Elephant Trunk Hill, Sun and Moon Pagodas, and East and West Street, making it super convenient for exploring and dining. The sunrise view room was clean and tidy, with soft and comfortable bedding. The room offered a 180-degree direct view of the Li River, and the night view in the evening was especially beautiful. The hotel staff were all very welcoming. The front desk handled check-in efficiently and thoughtfully. This established five-star hotel truly lives up to its reputation; the environment is comfortable and pleasant, making it suitable for both couples and families.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent location, great service, slightly dated facilities but still recommended. 🚩 Location & Transport: Right in the city center on Binjiang Road, within walking distance to Elephant Trunk Hill, Sun and Moon Pagodas, and East-West Alley. There's a bus stop and shared bikes right downstairs. For those driving, there's a free parking lot with charging stations, super convenient. 🛏️ Room Facilities: Got an upgrade to a river view room. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a direct view of the Li River and Elephant Trunk Hill. However, the 4th-floor view isn't great as it's blocked by large trees on the street, obscuring the river. The room was clean and tidy, with comfortable bedding, though the bed was a bit small and the room size was on the smaller side. The decor felt a little traditional. Some outlets didn't have USB ports, so bringing your own charging adapter is recommended. 🍽️ Breakfast: A wide variety of Western pastries. The highlight was the freshly made Guilin rice noodles – both the dry stir-fried and soup versions were delicious. They also had Gongcheng oil tea, desserts, and fruit. 🤝 Service: The front desk staff were warm and professional, proactively upgrading our room and giving us a small gift. Their response time was very quick. 💡 Suggestions: Lower floors facing the street might experience noise, so light sleepers might want to bring earplugs. During peak season, breakfast can get crowded and require queuing, so dining off-peak is advised. Overall Review: The location and service are impeccable. While the hardware isn't the newest, it's still a reliable choice as an established five-star hotel. Suitable for travelers who prioritize convenience and views.

Built in 1988, this hotel faces the Li River. The overall design has a very Western feel, and the entrance is quite grand. The lobby is tall and spacious, clearly showcasing the design style of its former Sheraton days. The rooms are quite nice after renovation. The front desk staff were very helpful with all my inquiries, and the executive lounge attendants were always ready to assist. My only negative experience was the breakfast, particularly the noodle station staff, who were impolite. It seemed the server was an intern.

The hotel's location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the city, making it convenient to go anywhere. As an established star-rated hotel, the service is quite reliable. The room was clean and odor-free, and room service was almost always responsive to requests. The personal butler contacted us proactively before check-in, and the service was warm and attentive. It would be even better if the breakfast buffet offered more variety.

Service: Very good, all the staff were smiling and proactively greeted us. Breakfast options were a bit limited. However, it's very close to key attractions like Elephant Trunk Hill, Jingjiang Prince City, and the pedestrian street, all within walking distance.
