Jiangjing Hotel, Guilin Ancient Town (Daxu Ancient Town Store, Lijiang River Scenic Spot)

[Delighted][Handshake] We stayed at the Jiangjing Hotel – 'Silver' (Yin) for you, 'Apricot' (Xing) for your luck, 'Season' (Ji) for being with you all the way. It was the annual ginkgo season, and guests staying at the hotel came from all over the country, all just to see that 'village full of golden armor.' The hotel is right by the Li River, surrounded by green mountains and clear waters. Lazily sitting on a chair, you can fully enjoy the 'ink wash painting' scenery of the Li River (the best view is from the 7th-floor rooftop). A big thank you to front desk staff members 12, 27, 21, and 48 who checked us in. They were professional, enthusiastic, patient, and quick, making us feel incredibly warm and welcome on a cold winter day.

Opening the window felt like stepping into a traditional Chinese ink painting! However, there was construction going on downstairs, and when I checked in during the afternoon, hoping to relax, it was incredibly noisy. There were no dining options nearby, so I had to eat at the hotel's own restaurant. For someone watching their weight, this wasn't an issue though. The location itself is quite good. It would have been even better if the room's balcony had been a bit cleaner. Overall, it was a good stay!

A five-star Li River view hotel that's absolutely worth it! This will definitely be our go-to stopover for future trips. Both adults and kids loved it so much they didn't want to leave. We originally booked for two nights but extended for an extra night. My child said it was truly unforgettable! The hotel owner is very thoughtful. They have a rooftop fish pond for afternoon tea, a Zen room, a library, a large tea table, and even some simple gym equipment. There's something for everyone in the family to enjoy and relax – that's what a vacation should feel like. The owner is also very nice; we bumped into him and his wife while feeding cormorants by the river, and they even let my child try kayaking! The river view rooms offer an unbeatable view. The front desk staff, especially numbers 12, 18, and 27, provided great service. Breakfast was also delicious, and the mixed rice noodles were particularly good.

After arriving at Guilin Airport, we first went to Yangshuo, and then drove from Yangshuo to the hotel. The hotel staff was very welcoming, and they even offered afternoon tea and dinner, which were both delicious. A special shout-out to the front desk staff, especially those on duty on the 21st and 27th – they were excellent!

We were pleasantly surprised when the front desk upgraded us for free to the last available river-view room upon our late-night arrival. We even got to experience the Mid-Autumn Festival atmosphere with a bamboo pole dance and fireworks on the rooftop, which was a unique experience in a different city. In the morning, I woke up early to watch the sunrise from the rooftop, and the view of the mountains, rivers, and bamboo rafts was absolutely beautiful and serene. The hotel facilities are very comprehensive, and a big shout-out to staff members #12 and #48 for their excellent service! 👍🏻 The only minor downsides were that the road leading to the hotel at night was quite dark with few streetlights. Also, I'd suggest putting an air freshener in the bathroom, as there was a not-so-fresh smell, I'm not sure if it was residual plastic or something else.

This is probably one of the better hotels in the vicinity. The management is very well-regulated, and it's right next to the Li River, offering a picturesque, ink-wash landscape view. Reception staff members 21 and 27 were exceptionally helpful, proactively informing us about parking and evening activities. Breakfast was decent, and the restaurant on the 6th floor has great views. We happened to be there during the Mid-Autumn Festival, so we enjoyed a dance performance and a fireworks show in the evening.
