The room is big, but the hygiene is a little bit poor. In addition to the two beds, there is a lot of space in the house, with sofas and other facilities. The bed material is very good, no formaldehyde, and the air purifier is well received. The quilt is not very clean. Although the quilt cover is clean, you can see the dirt inside the quilt.

Front desk was very helpful and friendly. I slept well. Gave a free upgrade but the window was facing a building so the blinds have to be drawn. Really close to the main station. Downside was that the noise insulation was not done well. Neighbours were opening doors throughout the night and it could be heard, likewise with people talking down the hallway. Strange feature was that music started playing when I start the shower and stopped once the water stops running, which was quite creepy.

The overall stay was good and location was conveniently accessible from the Guilin Railway Station and local tourist areas. I would not say the room itself was super clean for my personal preferences as there are some areas that did not feel the cleanest (i.e., shower) and the room did reeked of cigarette scent.

i got a warm welcome at the hotel with a free room upgrade. the room is spacious, clean and overlooks the back streets. it has heating and cooling. the buffet breakfast is sumptuous and is constantly being refilled. the highlight is the guilin rice noodles. the staff are efficient and helpful. i had some problem with the washing machine and they were quick to help. there is also a commercial dryer that can dry clothing in 40 minutes.

The hotel is opposite the Guilin Railway Station, with convenient transportation and travel. The surrounding area is the old town, and life is convenient. The room is clean, safe and quiet. The smart room check-in experience is very good.
The 005 staff at the front desk are enthusiastic and patiently answer our questions, and introduce everything from travel to dining patiently and carefully. The recommended dining places are not pitfalls, and they are all places frequented by locals. Next time I come to Guilin, I will stay at Jinjiang Metropolo Hotel.

Booked two rooms, the room was very clean and big. In order to allow our two rooms to be together, the boss helped us upgrade a room. Just don't love it too much! You can add the boss’s WeChat account through the contact information on the platform. The communication is very patient, detail-oriented, and very happy. Self-service housing, no room card, password door. Very close to the train station, almost on the opposite side! It is not too far from the two rivers and four lakes, and the starting price is only the starting price for a taxi. Projector, air conditioner, washing machine, small refrigerator. The balcony, hanging chair, sofa, and window are all very comfortable! The last little flaw, it would be perfect if the cleaning lady doesn't rush to check out before 12 o'clock (even if it's a few minutes away)!

The service provided by Xiao Zeng at the front desk was very good. There is also a washing machine and dryer on the sixth floor, which is really convenient. I would like to give it a thumbs up. If I have the opportunity to come to Guilin next time, I will definitely choose here again.

A great place to stay. It was clean and close to many restaurants. The main pedestrian street is around 20 minutes walking distance away but that's ok as there is a lot to see on the way or even buses. The staff was really helpful with giving us instructions and the hotel is walking distance from Guilin railway station. I recommend staying here.

We had a good stay in this hotel. The front desk staffs are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is centrally located to many attractions, train stations, and many eateries. We got a room upgrade. It is spacious and fully stocked with all the daily necessities. My husband and I really love their hot ginger drink provided to their customers in the lobby for free. It is really a nice gesture, especially in this cold winter time. Highly recommend this hotel to others.

Here are some highlights:
1. Helpful staff
We were able to check in around 12:30 pm. The staff at front desk helped us move in. Everyone in the hotel put a lot effort to make sure their customers were satisfied with their service.
2. Comfortable beds
The two bedrooms is kind of small for a family of 4. It lacks desks to put makeup, purses. However the bed and pillows were very comfy.
3. Tasty food with stunning views restaurant
The ZUI restaurant at 6 floor has excellent food options, great quality and stunning views. We had both dinner and breakfast there. It was the best one in our entire Guilin Yangshuo vacation. We really like the local specialties, like Oil Tea, Black rice cake with egg yolk, fried rice noodles, Guilin rice noodles…
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at SYYF Li River Courtyard Hotel. I highly recommend it.

MMachi GIt has been a memorable stay for us. The hotel is conveniently located within a 15-minute walk to the Twin Pagoda, the Elephant Hill, and Zhenyang Pedestrian St. Besides, they are many good restaurants around the vicinity. Our selected rooms are huge with minimal chic design. Friendly service staff. Loved the chat service via Wechat, where we could book our transport to and fro the Railway Station. There's complimentary dessert served to our room. On top of that, they even printed our favourite photos taken during our stay and have it framed for us for free!!! And the robot delivered to our room. We will miss talking to Shishi in the Wechat asking about our needs. This is a very interactive hotel where communications are done through their Wechat, and you get prompt services. Good breakfast varities and friendly service staff. Highly recommended to try the local Guilin dry noodle at breakfast. It is as good as those outside. We will miss staying in this hotel. Thanks you SYYF hotel!

Even before I arrived, the staff went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. I received a message the day before my reservation to call the hotel. When I called, they asked if they could send me a message on Wechat as they didn’t speak English. The staff simply wanted to know my eta so that they could turn the a/c on in the room to cool it down before I arrived.
The hotel is more of a BnB set up than a hotel - similar to a house design. The building is 5 stories high with I guess around 4 rooms on each floor. This makes it perfect to escape the large tourist groups which frequent bigger hotels.
When the taxi pulled up outside on the day of my arrival, 2 staff members rushed out to welcome me. Check-in was quick and they told me that they had upgraded me to a bigger room. They also asked me what I wanted for breakfast the next day as they had some different ‘Western’ options (think Chinese idea of Western but still okay). I was able to have toast and fried eggs every day.
The room is really exquisite - I came alone but would definitely recommend for couples as the bathtub is heavenly.
The two balconies offer beautiful views of the karst mountains. The room is also tastefully done up in wicker and white. And the bedding is luxurious. My only recommendation for the room is to add some sachets of instant coffee.
The pool is perfect for a cool down and what a spectacular view from the loungers!
I swam every day and every day while sitting by the pool, the staff brought me some refreshing lemon water to drink. In addition, every day of my stay they brought me something: day 1 - fresh watermelon and some blueberry thing (candy?), day 2 - baby tomatoes and more blueberry things day 3 - apples and peanuts. On checkout, they prepared a local snack and water bottle for the trip home.
The staff at this hotel really go the extra mile and just about bend over backwards to serve you. It’s been a long time since I have seen such eager staff and it makes for a very pleasant change from bored receptionists on their phones.
I cannot rate the hotel highly enough for their excellent hospitality service.
The location is also perfect - away from the main ***** but an easy 15 minute walk to the river rafts and another 5-10min to the ‘town’ and a variety of eating options. That’s when you turn left when you get to the main road from the hotel (5min walk). Turn right at this road and you can comfortably walk (30 min?) to some other sites like the one with the hole in the mountain (overrated) and an exquisite cave - Dragon cave. If you like caves and the formations within I highly rate this cave. It is truly gorgeous. You can also rent bikes or a scooter 10m in front of the hotel.
The staff do not speak English but they communicate via WeChat and are more than happy to help with anything.

GGuest UserThe stay at SYYF was one of the best hotels I’ve ever been to. The room is cozy and spacious, with gorgeous floor to ceiling windows with a great view of the mountains. It’s also a hi tech smart room with a voice controlled assistant, Xiaodu, that can control the lights and open/shut the curtains (though it only understands Chinese). There’s also a cute tea set which is great for relaxing by the window. The room is equipped with AC and heat that works great, and the lights can go from bright to a dimmer evening mode, as well as sleep. We also got complimentary sodas, extremely cozy robes and nice house shoes for lounging. The breakfast is served 8-10AM is was definitely one of the best we have experienced in China while traveling. It was robust and offered both regional and western cuisine.
There is a lot of ongoing construction on the street that the property is on so be careful. It may be a bit of traffic congestion due to large machines, however the noise was not heard from our room. It might be challenging for Didi drivers to access but there are also e-scooters for rent for about 30 yuan per day.
The hotel is surrounded by mountains which are lit up at night for a gorgeous landscape at any time.
The welcome photoshoot was fun, with traditional clothes you can borrow. We spent about 30-45 minutes using different props across 3 locations on the property, and got tons of photos that we loved.
The staff is so accommodating and responsive and they helped with every little question. The bring lots of thoughtful small pleasantries which added a special touch and made us feel very cherished. They also offered a free shuttle for our departure ride to the train station at the end of our stay.
We came in early January and the weather was chilly at night and pleasant during the day. With a jacket it’s not too bad and on a sunny day it’s pleasant with a cool breeze.
We had a massage too, which you can order to your room or go to the spa which is close, and they provide shuttle service. The massage was good but a bit pricey even with the 50% off. There are less expensive places in the town not too far away.
West street is a popular tourist spot which is also close, about 15-20 minutes away by e-scooter. There’s plenty of shopping, restaurants and a little night life, but we didn’t go out during this trip.
10/10 experience and I would definitely recommend staying here! I can’t imagine staying anywhere else when I come back to Yangshuo, and this place makes you REALLY want to come back!

I booked my stay at the Shixi Landscape Hotel in Yangshuo, Guilin, through Trip.com. The check-in process was very smooth and didn’t take long at all. One pleasant surprise was the option to upgrade our room for free, which we accepted. This upgraded room came with a lovely balcony. Although the staff couldn’t speak English, they were very friendly and helpful. Using a translation app made communication easy.
Room Details
We stayed in a standard double room with an upgrade to a balcony room. The room also featured a bathtub, which was a nice touch. Upon entering, the room was fairly clean, though there were some water stains on the floor and the carpet had a few dirty spots. The amenities were average, including a selection of soft drinks in the minibar and some snacks on the table. Despite these minor cleanliness issues, the bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep.
Facilities and Services
The hotel had a restaurant where we received a complimentary breakfast upgrade. Unfortunately, the breakfast did not meet our expectations. While the Chinese food selection seemed okay, the international options were quite disappointing. The sausages were undercooked, the bacon was not good, and the cereal options looked and tasted stale. The only decent international option was toast with butter. It’s a relief we didn’t pay extra for it.
Although I noticed the hotel had a spa, gym, and pool, I didn’t get a chance to use them. The pool looked nice but was small and shallow, not suitable for a serious swim. There was no room service available as far as I knew.
Location and Accessibility
The hotel’s location was fantastic, situated right next to the Li River and only a short 5-minute walk to the main shops and streets in the town. It was very easy to find and access, making it a convenient base for exploring Yangshuo.
Customer Service
The overall customer service was great. The staff were very friendly and polite, and we encountered no issues during our stay.
Overall Experience
The best part of our stay was the hotel’s prime location, which made it easy to visit tourist attractions. The hotel staff were also very helpful in arranging scooter rentals for a very reasonable price of ¥30 per day, which allowed us to explore the beautiful scenery around Yangshuo.
However, there is room for improvement. The breakfast selection, particularly the international options, needs significant enhancement. Additionally, a thorough deep cleaning of the carpets would greatly improve the room’s cleanliness.
In conclusion, while I would recommend the Shixi Landscape Hotel for its location and overall good service, it is on the pricier side for Yangshuo. Given the cost, I expected a bit more in terms of breakfast quality and room cleanliness. Nonetheless, it is a decent option for those looking to stay near the Li River and the town’s main attractions.

KKLimWe stayed here for 3 nights, from 27-30 Nov, our longest for the 15 days Guangxi trip. We booked here cos it is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel. There is more effort to maintain the non-smoking rule but there still lapses. Some staff are understanding and make and effort while others are pretty nonchalant, with one trying to argue with my wife that the guests can smoke in the lobby. The room is fine and there is free afternoon snacks in a nice lounge. Location is quite centralised with some eateries nearby. Breakfast prob 2nd best for this trip with coffee available. There is no lift so a llttle bit of stairs climbing to reach the reception and rooms.

EExpatThis is an absolutely beautiful hotel. As a solo traveler, I do feel that it’s good for one night to experience that design and pampering space. There are bus tour groups which go there and seem to work well with the KTV, Buffet meals, and lounging areas.
From my trip, I stayed for two days after the Chinese Qixing Festival. It was really nice to arrive and have access to the teatime snacks and desserts as well as the wonderful architecture and furniture design. The outdoor pool is nice, however the indoor pool charges 50 yuan because they offer drinks and snacks. The only drinks and snacks they offered were juice boxes and some fruit. One employee told me that there were cocktails available. The exercise room and yoga room were set up very nice. The shower rooms very clean. I would not pay for the indoor swimming pool in my opinion based on the drink/snacks.
The bar that is advertised from some user photos does not exist. Some employees said it was open, others said not. Management can communicate that better, as a lush hotel should have a solid lounge. The tea lounge does not have any alcohol drinks available, but rather decoration of wine bottles. The design is gorgeous though. One employee told me that they ran out of alcohol due to holiday, and another employee told me that there was a bar open which really was not. I simply went to get my own spirits when I wanted a cocktail (made in my room).
Other than that, everything in the hotel was fine. My room was really lovely with the exception of the fact that you cannot go out on the balconies and there is a smoke smell from the carpet. The hotel gladly gave me a an air purifier to help alleviate the smell. My opinion is that the power should be sat on before a guest checks into their room. I had to change the filter over the two days. It did not appear that the KTV was open (maybe epidemic), I decided to go hang out in town, but enjoyed the Victorian flair when relaxing.
Overall, the comfort, bathing, and relaxation was great. The breakfast is really delicious, and the service of the employees all around was impeccable despite the fact that they could not offer all of the amenities. It seems an OK place for families/photos as well since the property is unique. The 50 yuan for tea time was probably the most valuable, and the room service staff are detailed. The butler/reception very professional, Ayi staff amazing. Transportation quite easy.

SSéverine SCHAEFFERExtraordinary suite in a beautiful wooden inn with a breathtaking view of the 9 Dragons and 5 Tigers spot. Excellent bedding and very nice bathroom, spacious living room with excellent tea available. The restaurant serves simple and tasty Chinese cuisine with local products. We particularly liked the snails in sauce. The owner and the ladies on duty are very dedicated to the customer. We suggest providing bathrobes in the room when exiting the bathroom which is facing the windows. A more complete breakfast menu would also be perfect. Thank you for your welcome, we hope to return in another season to discover the rice fields with other colors.
