It is a wonderful option to stay in Guangzhou. The rooms are spacious and clean. It is located a few meters from the pedestrian street and that gives it a privileged location to move around on foot. Breakfast is served from 7:00 am and there are good Chinese and Western menu options. Just note that it is no longer a hotel operated by Holliday inn but is now called Voco.

The biggest hotel I’ve stayed in Guangzhou. Was very happy to see the huge room with a separate living area, bathtub, separate shower and toilet. Then the leakage happened. What a shame, don’t know why there is a flood whenever we use the shower. The bathtub, toilet area and sink area is fine, but the water will flood most of the toilet floor after shower, and the worst is there will be a foul smell that comes after. Shower room is just next to the beds, so we ensure the shower door is shut when we sleep to keep the smell away. Other than the shower mishap, everything is perfect, I was surprised to see they even have different charging lines near the dresser and the tv area, very thoughtful!Location is the best, shopping plaza just across the road with a delicious dim sum restaurant on the 2nd floor, be sure to go early, I reached close to 11am and que for almost an hour to get a seat. The super market in the shopping plaza is expensive but the bread offers buy 2 free 1 if you go after 8pm, the bread is so tasty, I brought back to sg and ate for 2 days it still taste very good. Bought kiwis and persimmon back to sg and both taste very good as well. Subway is just 3 mins away and easily to get taxis from the hotel or from the roadside. Walk about 30 mins to qing hui yuan, one of the famous garden in Guangzhou, visit the huang fei hong and ye wen gallery. Take the subway 2 stops to Beijing bu xing jie, plenty of shops and vibrant place, it’s a must go. Really love the location of this old hotel, so convenient and surrounded by shopping and eateries, just need to make sure to have a shower room that doesn’t leak.

The location is excellent. Restaurants food are good with variety. The cleaning needs to improve as I told the cleaner the bed had yogurt sour smell, she didn’t change the quilt cover and bed sheet, only did easy job-changed the pillow covers. At night I couldn’t sleep because of the smell. Then I rang the service and told them the situation. They sent 2 room service ladies and changed the bed sheets and quilt covers straight away.

Given the high rating and reputation of this hotel, I was shocked by the conditions of the supposedly newly renovated rooms. I was staying at the standard room on the twelve floor , facing the historical buildings. We checked in after 10:30pm under the drizzles and chill - the outside temperature was around 10 degress. I noticed the holes of the linen of the blinds when they were rolled down, though it could still function. Yet, the light shield was worse. It was trapped on one side and could not be let down. The plus side was we were offered another room on the same floor immediately. Leo who helped to bring our luggage up was very polite and patient. He stayed outside our room when his colleague brought the new key of the new room and accompanied us to the new room to ensure everything was all right. He was worth 5 out of 5 for service. However, I would further explain why I only gave 4 out of 5 for service. Yet, the new room was smaller and for any other international hotels , from my experience, would offer an upgrade of the room. This hotel did not. Thats why I gave 4 out of 5 for service. The linen of the blinds in the new room was still far from 100%. I could still detect torn tissues , most probably because the blinds were dated. Thats why I gave a 3 out of 5 for facilities.

It's hygienic and clean. The location is excellent. The guy at the front desk is very friendly. The subway station is very close and the Chen Family Ancestral Scenic Area is nearby. The hotel is in an excellent location. It is within a reasonable distance from Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street and Chen Clan Ancestral Hall. It takes more than 10 minutes to walk and 7 minutes to walk to the subway station. The hotel actually occupies three floors of a residential building. The room is really not flattering. There is a bed as soon as you open the door. There is only one bed in the whole room. Two people can only sleep on the bed in the room. There is no place to put it in the room. The toilet is small and pitiful. One person can't take a shower and the other person can't use the toilet. . This is the smallest room I have ever booked on Ctrip. The order indicates that there are windows, but there are no windows, and the area is definitely not 20 square meters. Won’t book again, poor experience

We really enjoyed our stay in Yizhi! The location itself is worth every penny, we could just walk across the street for the metro and also venturing to the famous XiHua street for all local delicacies! The only regret is, we didnt extend our GuangZhou days to stay longer. This would be my first choice hotel on my next visit!

Hotel is located about 50 meters away from Caihongciao metro station through either exit gates A or D. Needs to cross a pedestrian road and a side lane to reach the hotel. Hotel room is clean but slightly small. Near to shops and restaurants.

Hands down the best hotel one can find at this price range, I booked for two days but ended up extended another two. Here is the list of things I truly appreciate: Attention to details : from coffee (I love their Yunnan coffee! to comfortable disposable slippers to awesome pillows , marvellous TV wallpaper) Technology : Xiaodu voice controlling of light, TV and curtains - I can't get enough talking to xiaoduxiaodu :D Location: just outside of xihua lu where u get best food in Guangzhou Shower: Great shampoo and shower gel and super good water pressure! The location of the hotel is super good, close to Litchiwan Park and the food court. The room is also very clean. There is warm air in winter, so the room is not cold at all. I stayed there for five or six days in a row and it was super comfortable! There is a projector in the room so you can watch movies. I was missing documents when I went to apply for a visa, and the lady at the front desk helped print them out 😊 Highly recommended! !
