This was my second stay, and I chose a room with a bathtub. The tub was a bit shallow, so I didn't dare use it, haha! The freshly cooked rice noodles with beef balls for breakfast were great, and the preserved egg and lean pork congee was delicious too. The front desk girl wasn't wearing makeup, which felt a bit impolite! The hotel's location is excellent; there are shopping malls all around for clothes, which made me happy! Staying on the 8th floor, you can see the night view of Guangzhou Railway Station đ, which was lovely!

The service at the 30th-floor revolving restaurant was absolutely horrendous, from the female manager down to the female staff. I really don't even want to talk about them; they seriously need a complete overhaul! (The male staff were fine, constantly working hard.) In these tough times for finding a job, while customers might not be 'gods,' they at least contribute to your employment. I can't believe the Garden Hotel has come to this.
On the other hand, the manager of room service was excellent. He was very professional and highly capable at coordinating and getting things done. When I checked into room 2122, there were cookie crumbs on the table. The floor attendant notified the supervisor, who, with great coordination skills, immediately helped me switch to a clean room on the same floor. As someone who frequently stays at five-star hotels, I must commend this young man. đ
Let me tell you about an incident that instantly turned my good impression of this hotel completely sour. Our family has stayed here 4 times in just 3 months, totaling 20 nights! We even own a sea-view apartment in Nansha District, but we choose hotels purely because our kids need play facilities. We've stayed at Marriott, Sheraton, Intercontinental⊠all of them. During our third stay, to this day I still don't know why a pre-purchased voucher, bought separately, was used and booked (I was completely unaware, always thinking I had just booked 3 rooms for 2 nights each). Let's assume it was my operational error. However, when we checked into our three rooms, the hotel never informed us that a fourth room had been booked⊠It wasn't until we checked out and got home, looking at the March booking, that I discovered the pre-purchased voucher had been used. I immediately called Ctrip, and they were very diligent in investigating and resolving the issue for me. But after the customer service agent spent an entire afternoon working on it, the final answer was, 'the hotel refuses to take any action whatsoever.' Instead, Ctrip offered membership points as compensation⊠This incident completely turned our good impression into disgust. If it weren't for the fact that I couldn't cancel our fourth booking, I truly wouldn't step foot in this hotel again!

The hotel is quite spread out, and it's a long walk to the restaurant. Breakfast felt like eating in a cafeteria, with long lines for food, limited options, and everything was cold. The room itself was relatively quiet, and the water pressure was good, but the showerhead was faulty, making the water flow very weak and uncomfortable. The male staff member at the front desk was extremely unprofessional. He told us that only the South Gate of Baiyun Mountain offered electric cart service up the mountain, even though the hotel is clearly close to the West Gate. This led us to take a taxi from the West Gate to the South Gate, when in fact, there are electric carts available at the West Gate. Please stop misleading tourists! Actually, getting to the West Gate of Baiyun Mountain and Yunxi Garden is quite convenient.
