Atour Hotel Guangzhou Railway South Station Vanke Center

The hotel is easy to find and conveniently located for getting around. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming.

I was pleasantly surprised by how clean this hotel was – the room was spotless and the bedding was super comfy. The ambiance is top-notch too; it's decorated with great style. The staff were all very warm and attentive, making me feel right at home. 👏👏👏

Every Atour hotel always smells so nice! The laundry room is a huge plus, I was able to wash and dry all my clothes. It's super convenient, especially since clothes take forever to dry in this weather. After a workout, I enjoyed a hot bath, followed by some warm shredded pork congee with a salted duck egg – pure bliss. The decor is simple, elegant, and stylish. I'd definitely stay here more often; it feels like a great value for the price point. The honey black tea was also quite tasty, with a subtle sweetness.

The soundproofing isn't great, and the cleanliness was quite poor. The bed sheets in that room weren't changed daily. The location is a bit far from the city center, but it's very close to the subway station. I'd highly recommend taking the subway to get around. There are also many shops and restaurants right below the hotel.

The complimentary late-night buffet, "舒心晚安自助宵夜" (Comforting Goodnight Buffet), is especially great for food lovers.

The hotel facilities are decent, nothing spectacular. The room was smaller than I expected, and a bit of a letdown. On the bright side, there's a mall downstairs, which is really convenient for shopping and dining. It's also not far from Guangzhou South Railway Station, and just a few kilometers from Guangzhou-Foshan Florence Town. The lobby is on the 3rd floor. Overall, I found it to be pretty average. The lighting in the room wasn't bright enough, and it wasn't quite up to the standard of other Atour hotels I've stayed at.

My husband and I have decided that from now on, we'll only stay at Atour hotels when we travel. We were absolutely thrilled with our experience at the Atour Hotel in Vanke, Guangzhou! It's so thoughtful for those who love late-night snacks; they offer complimentary congee from 9:30 PM to 11:00 PM, complete with pickles and steamed dumplings. The breakfast was also very generous. The hotel environment was comfortable, and the front desk service was incredibly attentive and detailed.

I had a terrible experience staying at Atour this time, and I really need to give feedback. First, the room cleaning was an issue. During our stay, the cleaning staff's service attitude was clearly unprofessional. On the first day, we returned to the hotel at 4 PM, and our room still hadn't been cleaned. After we called, they grudgingly came to clean it, showing impatience throughout and even asking if we 'wanted the bed made,' which was very confusing. Even worse, on the second day, after we returned from going out, there were still obvious omissions in the room – no bath towels, bath mats, bathrobes, or other basic amenities were provided. We only discovered this after showering, which left us in a very awkward and cold situation. This is a serious dereliction of basic service. We repeatedly asked for slippers, but they were never provided, and they even took away the previous pair, which is just ridiculous. The front desk was equally disappointing. After we clearly filed a complaint, the staff's attitude was cold, with no effective response or solution. They basically just ignored us. Overall, neither the room service nor the front desk service met expected hotel standards. The experience was very poor and really dragged down the Atour brand. The surrounding amenities downstairs are great, but the service is so bad that I won't be coming back.
