I went to the Indian embassy. It's very near. The Owner is very friendly. It's the best place to stay for a solo traveller. If you are traveling to Canton fair that time also you can stay here. It's 100 m far from metro station. Fro the main door of building you must go towards the parking area. If you are a foreigner then must read this review. I have added some photos. It will help you to find the way. Girls are on 10th floor and boys are on 9th floor. It's safe to stay here. All people are friendly. Owner helped me to buy online food also. It's on the next station from Guangzhou east railway station.

Location is good. Close to Guangzhou tower. To other places you need to spend some time getting there, but the metro connections are convenient. Plenty of places to eat just outside the building.
The address says the hostel is on the 9th floor, but that's the guys' floor. For the girls dorm it's the 11th floor.
Rooms are comfortable, bunks have a curtain and there is aircon. Mattress is a bit hard, but that's common in China. It was alright for me.
The only thing is that there is only one combined shower/toilet in the apartment. It gets quite dirty too, because so many people use it.

The location near to all amenities, very convenient and economy for solo traveller. Get to make some friends and still have our own privacy. Really friendly and helpful staff, will choose this hostel again if l visit Guangzhou

This place is not that great. It's really quite dirty and the mattress is very hard. The location is good though, so I would say it's ok for one night.

First, I shared a bedroom with Chinese people, who were very nice. The bed was clean. There was a nice common room. The bathroom shared with many people, so I had to wait for half an hour until I could use it myself. Later on, I was transferred to a bedroom that I shared with another foreign girl. The equipment was newer there and the bathroom of better quality and cleaner, but the common room was a bit more boring. All in all, I was very happy to have stayed here.
