Echarm Properties in Guangzhou

I stayed at the ECharm Hotel near Ximenkou for three nights on a business trip to Guangzhou, and I have a few practical observations to share. The room was spacious enough; the desk was wide, easily accommodating two laptops and a pile of documents without feeling cramped, and the chair height was just right, so no backache. The lighting design was thoughtful – the main light and desk lamp could be controlled separately, which was great for working on presentations at night without straining my eyes. The internet speed was stable; I never lost connection while uploading large files on DingTalk, and video call quality was clear. The soundproofing was what I liked most. Although it's opposite a residential area, once the window was closed, I could barely hear any traffic noise outside, ensuring a solid night's sleep. The mattress and pillows were both very comfortable, leading to a great rest. Check-out was efficient; the front desk proactively asked if I needed an invoice and sent an e-invoice directly to my email, saving me from waiting. There's a convenience store and a 24-hour pharmacy downstairs, and it's very close to the subway station. The facilities are comprehensive, with a self-service laundry room and a gym available 24 hours. Food deliveries are even brought by a robot; if I worked late and ordered congee, the robot would deliver it right to my door. Overall, it's a hassle-free, no-fuss business accommodation. I'll definitely book it again next time I'm in town.

The room itself was decent. It's a little over a kilometer from Guangzhou South, about a 20-minute walk, but thankfully the hotel has a shuttle service which gets you there in a few minutes, so that's convenient. Hygiene, facilities, and service were all pretty good. For the price point, the room was standard, so the value for money is quite acceptable. The only thing I really hope they improve is that useless hairdryer. Firstly, it's a foldable one, and you have to constantly hold the folding mechanism in place while using it, otherwise, it keeps collapsing, which is super inconvenient. Secondly, the airflow is so weak, especially for someone with long, thick hair – it's an absolute nightmare. Not only do you end up sweating after trying to dry your hair, but it still won't dry! And then the hairdryer just overheats and shuts off. It's genuinely frustrating.

The hotel is very clean, and the rooms are spacious. The robot delivery service for meals is super convenient. They provide four bottles of water in the room daily, and there are plenty of tissues. The front desk staff are patient and professional, and my daughter absolutely loved staying here. The Nongjiangsuo subway station is just a few minutes away, and there's a supermarket nearby too.

This hotel really nails the details! There were no strange smells in the hallway, and I could easily adjust the hot and cold water in the bathroom. The nightlight was perfectly dimmed, not harsh on the eyes at all. While the breakfast selection wasn't huge, everything was fresh and hot. Plus, there's a 7-Eleven just around the corner downstairs. It's quiet and so comfortable—definitely the kind of place I'd actively recommend to friends.

Everything's great right now, and the hotel environment is quite nice. The facilities are complete, and the staff are very welcoming. The front desk staff are always smiling, and the breakfast, especially the special noodles, is really good, good, good!

This hotel is located in the old town, making it very convenient to visit attractions like Yongqing Fang, Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, and Beijing Road Pedestrian Street. What I loved most was that there are many porridge shops, rice noodle roll eateries, and dim sum tea houses run by local old-timers nearby, where you can savor the most authentic Cantonese flavors. The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. Although the room wasn't huge, it was well-equipped and very clean.

Facilities: Normal. Even with all the lights on, the room was a bit dim. One of the bedside reading lamps wasn't working, but it was still acceptable. A minor drawback was that the water pressure wasn't strong enough, and the hot water wasn't hot enough. However, the air conditioning was good. Cleanliness: Normal. It was cleaned reasonably well. For a two-night stay, the bed was made fresh each day, and I didn't notice any obvious dirt. However, walking barefoot, there was a tiny bit of dust, but it was still okay. Environment: Soundproofing was average. It might have been an end room, so there wasn't much foot traffic. Luckily, the neighboring guests were considerate and didn't slam doors late at night. With the windows closed, I could still hear street noise and traffic. If you're sensitive to noise, you might want to consider this aspect, but it was fine for me. Service: When I arrived to check in, it felt a bit understaffed, and the process was a bit slow. Perhaps with one more person, it would have been smoother. Delivery drivers aren't allowed to bring food to the room; they can only leave it at the front desk. Although the front desk mentioned adding the concierge's WeChat to have it delivered to the room, I didn't try it. The WeChat response speed was good. Considering the weekday price, the value for money is good. The street downstairs is full of restaurants, so you won't have trouble finding food. However, the downside of being on a busy street is also very apparent; the street outside is a bit dirty and noisy. The location is also excellent; it's just across the road from a mall, and two nearby subway stations are within a 10-minute walk. Getting a taxi is also convenient. Overall, it's good.

A friend traveling from overseas had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Initially, due to concerns about potential last-minute changes in their itinerary, they only booked one night. However, impressed by the excellent service quality and comfortable accommodation environment, they extended their stay for two more nights. 1. Hotels can collect packages in advance. 2. Robots can deliver items or takeout to rooms on the first floor, and there is a centralized takeout locker for safe storage. 3. The hotel’s lobby features a microwave for heating food, making it very convenient. The dining area is comfortable and offers a wide variety of options. The hotel’s location has also been one of the reasons I choose it. I highly recommend staying there. 4. Near Dashatou Pier, River Cruise on the Pearl River, Beijing Road, Yongqing Courtyard. 5. Overall Impression: This is a highly recommended 4-star hotel. The service is excellent, the hygiene is good, the environment is pleasant, and the facilities and equipment are top-notch!
