Guest UserThe room was very clean and comfortable. The front desk lady was exceptionally helpful; I casually asked if breakfast could be included, and to my surprise, she readily agreed. I'll definitely be back.

ilovecantonese on trip.comThis hotel boasts a convenient location, just a few minutes' walk from Jiaokou subway station. The front desk staff were warm, attentive, and thorough.
There's an incredible variety of restaurants and small eateries both downstairs in the same building and across the street, offering countless choices – you're guaranteed to find something you'll love. Plus, there are plenty of other entertainment and leisure options nearby, if you catch my drift.

Anonymous UserThis hotel is very close to Guangzhou South Railway Station, making transportation incredibly convenient. They also offer a shuttle service, which is a huge plus for business travelers. The room was spacious, and the mattress and pillows were super comfortable, greatly improving my sleep quality. The breakfast selection was also excellent.

The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, but the overall cleanliness of the hotel wasn't ideal; there was dust everywhere. Despite being a relatively new hotel, many areas already looked run down, clearly due to poor quality building materials. While breakfast, afternoon tea, and supper were provided, the food quality was unacceptable. I suspect the meat was processed, and the fries, chicken nuggets, and spring rolls at afternoon tea were soggy, likely having sat out for a long time. Even with free-flowing drinks, it definitely wasn't worth the price. In short, the hotel left me feeling like I got a cheap emotional experience.

A good hotel typically excels in four key areas: cleanliness, tidiness, quietness, and service.
**Cleanliness**
* Guest rooms are spotless, with no hidden grime. Linens (sheets, duvet covers, towels) are pristine white, stain-free, and carry a fresh laundry scent.
* Bathrooms are sparkling clean, including floors, mirrors, and fixtures, with no standing water or unpleasant odors. Vanity countertops are tidy, free of water stains or residual items.
* Public areas like the lobby, corridors, and elevators have clean, dust-free floors. Walls and decor are free of dust, and the air is fresh and odor-free.
**Tidiness**
* Guest rooms are well-organized, with items neatly arranged. Furniture and appliance surfaces are free of scratches and stains. Wardrobes, desks, and nightstands are tidy, with no cluttered items.
* In public areas, seating, plants, and signage are neatly arranged. There's no scattered trash or debris, creating an overall comfortable and refreshing visual impression.
* Hotel linens are replaced promptly. Disposable amenities in guest rooms are well-stocked and neatly arranged, never short or messy.
**Quietness**
* Guest rooms have excellent soundproofing, effectively blocking external noise like footsteps in the hallway, conversations from next door, and street traffic, ensuring a quiet and comfortable stay for guests.
* Background music in public areas is at a moderate volume, not overly noisy. Staff communicate quietly, avoiding loud conversations that might disturb guests.
* The hotel's surroundings are relatively quiet, away from noise sources like construction sites and large entertainment venues. Alternatively, it has effective soundproofing to mitigate any potential external noise.
**Service**
* Staff are warm and friendly, proactively greeting guests with a smile, patiently answering questions, and offering assistance proactively.
* Check-in and check-out processes are efficient and convenient. Staff are proficient, minimizing guest waiting times, and are flexible and adept at resolving any special situations that arise.
* Room service is prompt. Requests like replenishing items or room cleaning are handled quickly. Staff respect guest privacy during service, avoiding unnecessary disturbances.
* Other ancillary services (e.g., dining, fitness, concierge) are professional and thoughtful, meeting guests' reasonable needs and making them feel cared for and valued.

I've stayed at several Atour hotels, and generally, their service is quite good. But this particular one deserves a special shout-out. The staff – from the front desk, to the restaurant attendants, to the housekeepers – were not just good, but surprisingly excellent. Both the front desk staff who checked me in at night and checked me out in the morning were not only efficient but also incredibly kind and lovely!
Good service is something many chain hotels can achieve these days, but that touch of kindness truly makes guests feel warm and appreciated. I believe this isn't just about training; the selection process for hiring staff is also crucial. So, I really want to commend the management of this hotel for their excellent judgment in choosing their team.

jasoninchinaEver since I stayed at Atour last year, I’ve made it a point to book their hotels whenever I travel around China. I chose this branch because I wanted to spend the weekend exploring Dongshankou, and it was only about a 10-minute walk away.
One thing I really like about Atour is its spacious and modern common areas. The lobby has plenty of space for working or studying, plus a gym and self-service laundry facilities, making it feel more like a lifestyle hotel than just a place to sleep.
The room itself was comfortable and well-designed. Although it didn’t have a window, the ambient lighting created a surprisingly natural atmosphere, so it never felt enclosed. Overall, another reliable stay with Atour, and I’d happily book with them again.

Guest UserLocation is not convenient for Didi as the hotel is located at a very busy and heavy traffic area. There’s paid parking so the Didi drivers are not willing to drive in. MRT is like 7mins away but u need to walk through either the mall or outside by staircase. Near lots of IT shops/distributors/sales/repairs buildings. A lot of food options, TianYu shopping mall opposite but need to go thru the MRT security checks. The room is ok, they told us they will give us free upgrade to a better room but in the end got charged extra. The rooms are not very sound proof. We can hear next door talking very very clearly, it’s bad, especially late at night. Feedback to hotel but after a while, the next door continues. The wifi is bad as they restricted the use of apps like WhatsApp/Netflix/Youtube. And u can’t setup the WiFi without a local number, the staff has to do it for u which is quite inconvenient. So this hotel caters more to locals travellers than international ones. Free breakfast is quite good but give a miss for the free supper, not worth the time. Wanted to try a local boutique hotel but was quite disappointed with this one. Will stick with international chains for next trip in China.
