Comfort Suites Grove City - Columbus South

Room was clean and big. No complaints on comfort or cleanliness. Only con is the couch. It Had something on back cushion or worn fabric. We said we would stay again.

Got to the hotel where my reservation was made, said they didn't have me at that building but had me next. Different hotel, different address, way different price and condition of hotel. They would not even look at my email for confirmation and just kept saying sorry and sent me to the hotel next door. No refund, no nothing and THEN when I said I wanted a refund because my reservation was at a hotel I did not book, and instead of cancelling, they checked me in ANYWAY, so I couldn't cancel. Attempting to get a refund immediately with no responses.

For a newer hotel and what I thought was an upper level hotel, I was a little disappointed. Carpet needs replaced and there were interior areas that needed repair. The next day after arriving late the night before, we were looking forward to sleeping in. The maid working our floor was talking extremely loud on her cell phone while cleaning. It was so disrupting at one point that I opened my door to see if there was a problem. She was standing in the hall next to my door talking on her phone. After closing the door I heard her laugh loudly. I’m not sure if she was laughing due to her call or if she thought my look of shock was funny. Either way it was very frustrating and made it impossible to relax let alone sleep. Bare minimum as far as food and snack options. I guess I am a bit spoiled with expecting breakfast options. The tv had hdmi hookup, however the setup screen wasn’t available to set it up. For us this was a negative situation b/c we enjoy watching Netflix and Paramount. For the rate of the room, I guess I was hoping for more.

Very limited breakfast options and no hot water for my morning shower. Called the front desk a few times with no answer.

We had a quick one night stay. I’m was clean. No weird odors. The water got hot. No bug. No real issues at all.

Every room I was given was dirty. Dirty towels everywhere, trash everything. Some of the beds were made but trash and dirty towels stayed. Was taken to 3 different rooms before guven a clean one

Overall the hotel and staff was good except the manager Victoria. I checked in on Sunday and was charged in full for my stay, I tapped my card and paid in full. A couple days later I had a charge on my account for $550 more than what I was charged on Sunday and then a deposit of $460 that was manually keyed by the manager. I did not approve either one of these charges so she is trying to overcharge me for my stay and manually entering my credit card number without my permission. I booked my reservation in December for my stay in March and asked for special accommodations and never got a response back in 3 months. They put me up on the 4th floor instead of the ground floor like I asked because of being handicapped and having my service dog. I asked if i could be moved and the manager told me that the room they had on the first floor there was a guy in there in a wheelchair and couldn't ask him to move, found out she lied to me and the guy was younger than me and was there on business which his company paid for the king accessible room for him for a week. The other lady that worked at the desk Laura was very nice and try to accommodate me, she comped two nights of my stay for me but Victoria added them back in and charged me for them.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The night shift guy was always there, answered questions, and provided everything we needed quickly. The breakfast staff was also excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Cleanliness was an issue. The carpets in the hallways looked very dirty. There were multiple places where a spill occurred and it was poorly cleaned up, left sticky and had residue of the spill. The chairs in the dining room were severely worn and the cushions needed replacing. The bedding was pilled and scratchy, and the sofa bed had no sheets on it, or anywhere in the bedroom. Our bedroom blinds were broken would not go up. The mini fridge had an awful smell. The room was spacious and the bathroom was very clean. The breakfast options were wonderful. Everything was fresh and constantly being refilled. The area was continuously picked up and cleaned by the staff. There was a wide selection of choices. The staff was kind, helpful and respectful and we enjoyed our stay, despite the cleanliness and upkeep issues. The pill found in the bedroom was unacceptable and unsafe.

The guy working at check in was great. Super helpful and I had several different questions- needed pool towels, bedding for the pull-out couch, and pizza delivery questions. But the guy in the morning wasn’t great. He told me I owed money but had paid through a third party. I also told him that my 10 year old had picked a scab and I wanted to give him a heads up that he got a bit of blood on the comforter. Not ideal, I know, but he’s a kid… the guys face looked like he was so disgusted. I just wanted to give a heads up so they’d know for cleaning. I didn’t have to do that. Check out was just weird. Anyways, the space was very clean. Pool was nice. Safe area with lots of restaurants around. We’d go back.
