Extended Stay America Suites - Rochester - Greece

Can I say this was one of the worst places ive ever stayed. No lobby, might sound trivial, but the astetics is not impressive. No housekeeping whatsoever, we had to go to the front desk for linens and for dishes. We had to clean the room ourselves, which actually my boyfriend didn't mind doing. We were supposed to have king size bed, ended up with Queen, and wasn’t reimbursed. Also, i was looking for a large cart to move my bags to my car, and couldn't find a one, ANYWHERE at 2-3 in the morning. I did like dealing with Alexis who just started clerking here this week, and she was just fantastic, as was Sophia. Bottom line, i wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

I was shocked when entering the hotel entrance door, it looked very old and outdated. Honestly not worth the money paid for. The room was dull and light was very outdated, no coffee machine, no shampoo or conditioner in bathroom. Breakfast was only a cup of coffee and a muffin, that is it. Never go back there.

It was better than expected given recent reviews. A little worn and breakfast wasn't worth taking but really good for the price.

Very dirty. Bad odors. Loud arguments in the hallway. I will never go back there again. I was there for a family emergency and had no choice to stay. Any other time i wouldve checked out and left.

Hotel was in a good area with plenty to do. Girl at the desk was as great, very personable. She said our room was just cleaned when I checked in….. noooo it was not. I would be surprised if the room hadn’t been cleaned in a week. Yes, bed was made and there were towels, end of cleaning. There was a fridge with food in it, some man’s hat on the lamp, sunflower seeds on the carpet which was so filthy I wouldn’t have walk on it without shoes. The drain in the shower was coming up from the floor and if stepped on would move, the overall smell was like freezer burnt old ice mixed with old cheese . Very outdated place with poor cleaning skills or simply not enough care to properly do it. Outside was littered with beer cans and trash all in the bushes. I have a feeling that the workers know and see all this and think it’s not my job and don’t take care of any of it , it’s all so obvious ! Should have stayed up the road for a few dollars more.

Booked &prepaid room with 2 queen beds for 2 people w/*******. Checked in at 3:10pm. Other people before me&other behind me. I cardholder, being a senior, had an adult family member with me, who is needed to assist me with medical problems on a family trip-we needed same room.At checkin I gave license, but staff stated new rules, not only cardholder checking in but all adults in room must have their licenses scanned ,even some minors.My family member felt intrusive, and felt it was not usual hotel policy, not normal. Since I pay incidental fees,&am cardholder, was strange. Staff stated he hands license over, or they will not “accept my reservation or grant access, family member went to car to retrieve it.Staff gave me card of new boss who issued rule.fire dept if fire, wants names and no’s of actual guests. Visitors in Bldg ok though.(note main door, & 2other access doors unlocked and entry access devices broken.)Staff got 2 room cards-insistedmy relative take one, forcing him to step forward.Then staff person said they don’t have a room available I pd for, they might have to give me 2 separate rooms (Which would be totally unacceptable)not very happy. More staff, people behind me to check in. No other hotel has ever ever demanded every person in my party or family get IDs scanned. Staff were only following orders; yes, but disagreed w/policy;will not go back. Got room requested, room fine. Not sure if I would have lost room $ if denied ;or get charged double for 2 rooms

All the staff during our stay were very friendly and helpful. The room furniture and place was a little run down but clean. I actually liked their bed, I slept well.

Honestly, the rooms were nice, roomy, and cleanly. Other than the kitchenettes not having a pot or pan for use, it was very clean. We also brought my dogs (last minute due to kennel cancelation) and they were very hospital about it. Paid the fee and made them comfy. With a nice water side area for their business to be done. Even though there isn't a garbage can in sight for disposal of the "goodie bags", other than the lobby next to where the coffe and breakfast is set up... Being an understanding person of the shortage of help and workers we waited for the front desk attendant for over 20mins and had to wait a little longer for a 1st level room to be available for my mother with hip issues. Most importantly on that water side there are no cameras. How we found that out is because we watched a car theft before check-out. My sister recorded the 1st stolen car pull up, someone in a ski mask and gloves jump out and start to break into the 2nd car. I called the police and thats how we found out there weren't any cameras.

It can use an upgrade; the appliances are old and rusted, especially the stove and microwave. The carpet in the room has to go nasty with a bad odor.
