Very good location, very close to the main attractions, walking distance, a little far from the castle. The hotel was originally an ancient building, the floor was slamming, and the hotel was filled with potted plants. Breakfast is plentiful.

In Graz for a customer meeting and stayed in Grand Hotel Wiesler Graz for 3 nights (Jan 18 to Jan 21). Truly enjoyed this stay, Five Star for sure. The facility was built in 1909 (guessed from its WiFi password), yet the interior is very modern. The staff was very friendly and responsive, and the breakfast was the best we ever had in Europe. The only thing I though I was going to like about this property was breakfast. Until food, cutlery, coffee, and hot water for tea disappeared 1,5 hours before the breakfast was supposed to end. Even after my numerous requests the water was not refilled. I was told by the employee that they were understaffed so she couldn’t do anything about it. The entire hotel is old and dirty. The walls, the doors - everything needs renovation. I had an amazing “graffiti” in my room (see picture attached). The breakfast was missing. They are indeed terribly understaffed - there was a long queue to check in and to check out. The staff did not react on my complaints in any way. Moreover room had an amazing view at disposal containers. What a thrill at 150 EUR a night 😖

This was our 1st stop duering our recent tour of Austria & what a great start ! After a 3hr train journey from Vienna through stunning scenery we arrived at Graz station. The hotel didnt appear to be far & only having hand luggage decided to walk which took us about 15mins. The hotel is convenient located near the old town with views over the river. Check in was both friendly & efficient which was appreciated as we had been travelling since early hours from the UK. We was very pleased with our room, bed was comfortable & our bathroom both roomy & well appointed. Duering our 2 day stay we very enjoyed our breakfasts served in the conservatory & I thought that the drinks we had in the hotel bar were very reasonable. There are terraced rear gardens with fabulous views & an outside pool but we resisted the temptation for a dip as it was mid February & about -4C 😁
