The hotel is located next to the railway station and looks very beautiful. Especially at Christmas time, the hotel service is very considerate, and it will help bring parking to pick up the car. Breakfast is OK. The restaurant on the second floor is no problem except for being expensive. :-) The swimming pool on the roof is particularly great. Although it is a bit smaller, it is not here for exercise after all, but the atmosphere is very good!

Scandic Europa is the perfect location to stop if you ate going to a concert at the Ullevi stadium. Located right by the main station. The rooms were adequate and the breakfast excellent. We did have a couple of issues that were immediately sorted out so nothing negative to say. We left very early in the morning, Uber was on time and we were provided with breakfast boxes. Overall a very good choice.

I always stay at First Hotel G. The location is very good, right above the train station. You can take the airport bus directly from the airport (from terminal to terminal), but it is not noisy and has good sound insulation. The hotel is small and beautiful. The breakfast is good, with fruits, yogurt, bread, cheese, charred bacon and eggs, sausages, etc. There is also a small gym. Opposite the hotel is the Nordstan shopping mall, and there are many dining options around. Highly recommended

The hotel is awesome, the rooms are large and very historical, it should belong to a good hotel in Gothenburg. The corridor is lined with parquet mosaics, which are particularly beautiful. Crossing a bridge leads to the town hall and a large shopping mall. Breakfast was average.

The design and the rooms are fine. Cleaning of the rooms 👍. But the beds especially the top madras was poor. The breakfast is served, at a corner to hall of the horse race track. Coffee cups and cutlery are dirty. Employees don’t react when we tell them. And the food plain and very boring. We stayed there during the Gothic cup. Big mistake. The hotel was not geared for that many guests. We had to eat breakfast with many, many and loud football camp kids. After the first disaster breakfast, we asked the receptionist when we could go and have breakfast the next morning…..hoping we could eat without feeling we were in a school dining hall. So to do that we had to get up eat in order to find a decent area to sit.

🚌 Location: Take the bus from the airport and then walk for 10 minutes. Walking all the way through several major sightseeing spots in Gothenburg.
🛏️ Room: There are many rooms on each floor, like walking through a maze when you first check in. The bed in the room is independent of two mattresses and is also very good design. Like most European hotels, toothbrushes are not available. But the room has a hair dryer, which is great.
🍜 Breakfast: Breakfast is a classic European style, just a variety of salads, breads, cold dishes, not too special. Some traditional Swedish food can be tasted new.
😠 Insufficient: The toilet flushing in the room I lived in was bad. I told the staff on the first day, and no one repaired it for me the next day! In order not to leave the room and not flush away, I can go to the hotel's public toilet!

The room was clean and had an iron, kettle and fridge. The “double” bed upstairs was two single beds shoved together. Not worth paying for a third person as it was a sofa bed- which pulled out extremely low down so they basically slept on the floor. They also had a very hard section so was not very comfy. It cost us an extra 85 pounds for this- which was not worth it! It’s very rare you find a hotel that checks all the boxes but this is it for me. Had the friendliest welcome when arriving at a late hour. The check in was quick, easy and I was in my room in no time. I’d forgotten adapters for my electrical items, the hotel was like no problem. Turns out the rooms have USB and USB-C plugs in the rooms so was covered. Moving onto the room. I had the best sleep ever. Perfect climate control. Wonderful views to wake up to and just every little detail was just amazing. After a delicious breakfast (lots of choice, Swedish and international cuisine), I explored the hotel further, the gym looks really good (I didn’t use it… just told myself I should have) and they also had a sauna. Moving outside, the location. The freshest air ever (it was nice to breath there) and literally just over the water from the city centre. If you like to walk, it’s perfectly acceptable however as I travelled with people who don’t like to walk, the hotel directed us to a bus stop one minute away. Literally two stops later, you’re in the centre. The hotel pointed out the work being done on the water front. There’ll soon be the option of getting back and forth that way. Finally, the team. It’s clear that this hotel clearly has the customers at the heart of what they do. Everyone I spoke to was warm, friendly and open to sharing hints and tips to make our stay in Gothenburg magical. And it was… EVERYONE needs to visit this wonderful city. I’m already planning my next trip and I will definitely stay again at this hotel.

The Radisson Blu in Gothenburg is in a slightly remove location from the center, but not far from access to taxi, short bus or scooter ride. Unfortunately a taxi from this location can be quite expensive to the center, at approximately 350-400kr, but public transport is close-by and easy. The rooms are very nice, a little on the small side but acceptable seen as you won't spend a lot of time in the hotel when you're visiting this great city. The views from the rooms are also good. Just a short walk from the hotel is a boat port, where you can take a nice boat trip to the city, an alternative form of transport, very scenic too! Downstairs in the hotel is a great bar and restaurant serving good cocktails and Italian themed meals. There is outdoor seating for breakfast but the area isn't very desirable/pretty, and isn't facing the waterfront, but it's nice to have an outdoor option. The service was very good and friendly. Without doubt, the highlight of this hotel is the spa area located on the roof-top, with great views across the city and water, it lacks an outdoor infinity pool but does have a small indoor pool and bar, as well as a hot-tub outside under a covered roof. Overall. not a bad hotel if you're looking to relax and happy for a short drive/bus/taxi/scooter to get to the center of the city.

GGuest UserHaving an appointment close by this property has a superb location literally opposite Göteborg central. Great if you are arriving by train, coming by car means that parking is at an (understandable) premium. But, for 395:- a night you get a reasonably spacious garage with direct access to the hotel. The hotel is designed in a square formation with a large atrium in the middle. It's good to be aware that many of the rooms face the atrium, which means your view will be looking out into the atrium. On Friday night the hotel had some event with live DJ and loud (but good!) music - having one of these internal rooms would have been disturbing. The check-in went smoothly, the receptionist recognized my Radisson status and gave us a room overlooking the square (one could see the station from the room!) and it was very quiet (didn't hear anything from the party/event on Friday night). Bathroom was fresh and clean, the shower had decent pressure although it tended to splash water on the floor. The executive room we got was spacious, had a comfy sofa (which didn't feel super clean), very comfortable bed, nespresso machine .. and no shoehorn! It seems to be a disappointing trend for Radisson properties to either have a pathetic small shoehorn, or none at all. The entrance was carpeted which although it had been vacuumed, it felt a little dirty. The rest of the room was wooden floors. The TV looked impressive - a good size .. but it turned out to be quite a dated unit with no accessible HDMI ports, we never used it. Breakfast is not included by default in the rate, and I have mentioned in other Radisson property reviews, this tends to reduce crowding and improve quality significantly. Breakfast was good here, not quite as good as the one in Stockholm, but the staff were overall very good. Didn't have a chance to try the gym or spa, but entering and exiting the lobby area it always felt lively and there was a hub of activity, especially on Friday evening. I would stay here again, and would recommend this property.

We stayed in Pigalle Hotel Gothenburg for 2 nights The location of the hotel is very central and super close to the central station of Gothenburg ( about3 minutes walk), it is also close to tons of restaurants, cafes and a big shopping mall where you will find everything The reception when we first entered the Hotel did not meet our expectations, it was not that warm welcome and for a moment felt almost like self service, I thought it was bizarre for a 5 stars hotel to have average reception for their guests. Decoration of the hallway, the bar at ground floor, the entrance and even the stairs was surprisingly very vintage, romantic and outstanding design, overall it was charming and very aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Even the room design, the wall paper and the bathroom were all of the same theme (vintage & romantic and it quite warm feeling) The bed was super comfy, we slept very well like bears so if you wanna have a great sleep they got the beds and pillows for it. Also the breakfast every morning was nothing short of delicious and the taste of everything was great and you can feel that they only use fresh & high quality ingredients, the methods of the cooking and preparations were very 5 stars indeed, and the service of the staff as well, they were very friendly and professional. Nevertheless the room we stayed at did not match the pictures on the hotel web page, it was not very spacious neither was the bathroom, and next to the bed both nightstands had stains on them, we were also not pleased with the cleanliness of the room nor the bathroom as there were so much chalky limescale deposits all over the bathroom floor. The closet in our room was sort of broken and need reparation as it was quite warn out, also it had very small space to hang our clothes and even less space for stuff because it had only 2 small shelves. No free coffee, nor tea and not even water in the room, quite disappointing for a 5 stars hotel, I honestly was upset as there were no trash cans in the room, there were just one in the bathroom and you need to walk there every time you had trash to throw. Also although we were couple, we only got 1 welcome package and even that was very basic. In Summary: The Hotel have a charming, vintage aesthetic and an unbeatable central location. However, the room quality fell short of expectations for a 5-star establishment, with cleanliness issues and a lack of amenities. The delicious breakfast and exceptional service of the staff helped redeem the experience.

AAnonymous UserCozy hotel with friendly personnel, and an okay single room. It wasn’t large, but it was clean. More than good enough for the two nights I stayed there. But it was in need of maintenance though: the doors and such were quite badly damaged.
I’ve added breakfast to my booking, and this was really good! Lots to choose from, and delicious.
One complaint: the rooms facing the street are not soundproofed enough in my opinion, too much of the noise of the quite busy road outside came in😕
Would stay again though, and I heard the double rooms are less noisy as these don’t face the street.

GGuest UserThe hotel is situated in old/historic buildings. Very nice and comfortable. Perfect place to stay and have the ‘harbour-feeling’. Nice and friendly restaurant and breakfast. Good possibillities to charge your electric car. That’s really an extra service! Good to know is that the windows in the sleepingrooms (in our building) couldn’t be opened. With warm weather that could be a problem. Also we would appreciate to have some coffee or tea in the room.

Bad points: (1) We didn't like that we had to pay extra for bedsheets and towels. We travel a lot nationwide and to other countries - one of us used to work as a tour guide - and it was our very first time to be in a hotel/hostel/motel that does not include bed sheets with the original price. (2) Our room was located right next to a very noisy playground. From morning until night, it was always extremely noisy. So the only times we enjoyed our time in our room was when it was very late at night or when it was raining heavily, because then no kids were there in the playground. (3) One of the shared-toilets was incredibly stinky.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located right near the main shopping area and close to many interesting sites. Public transportation is a few minutes away as well. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was nice. The breakfast was good and there is a waffle bar available in the evenings. The street is very busy and loud so if you want some quiet you have to close the window (if you're on the street side) but once the window is closed the room is silent. Very good value for the money, I definitely recommend it.

GGuest UserStayed for one night in July 2023 with my husband. Check-in was smooth, friendly front desk receptionist explained everything we needed to know for the stay. The room was nice and clean, with the amenities you expect from a city centre hotel. In our room were three single beds, reading lights, a window with blackout curtains, a small desk and chair, side tables, a wardrobe, a full-length mirror, smart TV. The bathroom had a good size shower with good water pressure and temperature, a toilet and a sink. No place to put toiletries, but that was not a problem for us. Breakfast consists of scrambled eggs, sausages and beans, toast, rolls, ham and cheese, various sweet spreads, boiled eggs and fresh-cut vegetables, cereals, juice and coffee. Good selection of breakfast staples. Positive: The hotel is dog friendly, we met a gorgeous labrador at breakfast. So, if you are not a dog lover you may want to check your surroundings. Accessibility can be a challenge at the hotel, as there are steps up from street level to reception. There is a lift but it's small, a wheelchair user may find it difficult to get in and out. The restaurant where breakfast is served is in the basement and consists of several small rooms joined together, and a person with mobility issues may struggle to get around all the nooks and crannies.

Very troublesome) Although the price is occasionally not the lowest, but the room may be allocated at least four people and up to 8 people, showing that men and women are mixed, but when there are not many people, they are basically separated. It is possible to mix when someone is full, and the kitchen is small but everything is complete. There is a lounge to watch TV. The toilet is the toilet, the shower is separate, and there is also a three-person shower room separated by a curtain. The nearby supermarket is very close, look at the santa ship, behind the Gothenburg church, walk for five minutes. Standing on a high place overlooking the scenery. 2. Gothenburg backpacker hotel and slottsskogens are the names of two brands of the same family, that is, check-in and departure are handled at a counter. This Linnai hotel is a private owner, between the Youth Hostel and the train station hotel similar feeling, unless its single room is cheap to the price of the Youth Hostel, other times, it is really not recommended. Otherwise, you may not be able to enter the door. There is a reason for their low rating. The single room I lived in was cheaper than the price of the berth, so I endured two nights, the kitchen was completely unusable, there was not enough kitchenware, the toilet was poor, and the bathroom was OK.
5. Gothenburg mini hotel, between the train station hotel and the feeling of home, the kitchen oven is basically bad, and the kitchen utensils almost have plates. Don't live if you can't live. Because the toilet and bathroom are also shared.
