We've stayed at two other hotels in Gonzales and decided to try La Quinta this time and were pleasantly surprised. The condition of the hotel is much better (the beds were comfortable), the breakfast was better, and the services was just as good. The parking lot was packed full with people having to park on the grass. I guess the word got out.
My only complaint is that in the middle of the night I was woken up by the sound of the custodian's cart going down the hallway (my alarm was set for 6AM and it was well before it went off); it was loud enough to wake me and lasted long enough to keep me awake. I appreciate the work that goes on while we're asleep, but could you please find a quiet cart??

I've stayed at this hotel numerous times and never had a problem. The only minor ding is there luggage carts. First is there lack of them and then they are small that barely carry anything.

The property was good, but breakfast was poor. Coffee was cold and the breakfast options were few if any. Comfortable pillows, bed, and clean bathroom. Check in and check out was a breeze.

Clean motel . Inop refrigerator and room hvac. Main hallway was cooler than room. Told staff but was told to give it time to work. Well it didn’t, told staff at check out. They didn’t seem to care. Will Virbo for cottage next time.
