We stayed during Christmas season and there was a Xmas market next door. The hotel is spacious and all the necessary facilities, including kitchen and washing machine are provided.

I get what this hotel is trying to do, but it doesn't do it that well! I had good communication prior to my stay, a few texts reminding me. I liked the self check in screen, saves time. The room itself was supposed to be a 'queen' but it was extremely cramped, the bed was a small double at best and there was a weird single bunk bed over the double, which made the room feel so small and oppressive. Floor to ceiling windows in the bathroom were inconvenient. There was a door joining my room to the next which was less than ideal. The whole hotel was very noisy, you could hear doors opening and closing all over the place. There was a lot of noise coming from the room next door which was made worse by the door, as this let more noise in. The party eventually stopped about 3am. This wasn't just me, my colleague had to ask someone to come up and stop a party in the hallway at 1am and he was 2 floors up. No kettle, no water, pretty basic room. This would do for one night maximum IF there was nowhere else.

The triple room is on the top of the building, quiet and clean, like a castle. There is breakfast, bathroom and toilet. Stayed 2 nights. Close to the square, shopping center and subway. It is 1.5 kilometers to the long-distance bus station.

Overall our stay was great. The staff were very friendly. The room was small but desgined really well and very comofrtable. The hotel had a great atmosphere to it, with lots of young guests and things to do in the reception area. The wifi was hit and miss - trying to make a zoom call in the reception area was nearly impossible even at 7am.

We went to Bella Italia for a meal before a concert. We booked a set menu at 6pm. Arrived on time, ordered 3 courses and expected to leave just before 7:30pm. Our first course came and was fine, then after almost an hour we enquired about our main course. The server checked the progress at a till point, printed off a ticket and took it to the kitchen. He told us it would be 5 minutes and apologised because they were having a problem with their new chefs. Shocking to pass the blame when chefs can only cook items when orders are actually placed. The meals arrived in about five minutes and we were told that there would be a deduction on our bill for the inconvenience. My meal was lukewarm, my friend’s was bubbling hot. I did not request a reheat as we were running out of time. We then asked for the bill and cancelled the desserts as we had no time left. They gave us dry brownies in a box to take away - which as it turned out we were not allowed to take into the concert hall in our bags. When the bill arrived, it was a la carte not set menu and there were no deductions. By that time, we had no time left to deal with that issue. Given that a lot of restaurants in the area have a time limit of one and a half hours per table, it isn’t unreasonable to expect to have a whole meal in that timescale. Very bad service, food definitely not up to scratch, and no teamwork with the staff. Will definitely never go back and will actively tell my friends and family to avoid this restaurant at all costs. Extremely disappointed!

Thank you to the staff, as a solo traveller I was quite nervous but I felt so safe. Check in was smooth and friendly. The hotel is clean, stylish and smart. You need your room key to use the lifts so I felt so safe going to my room. I stayed in a double room and it was so spacious! Everything was tidy and well placed. Even though there was a fun fair on the next street it didn’t really bother me when I shut the window. It was my first time staying in an apart-hotel and I would definitely recommend! I didn’t know that having ice in the freezer and cutlery would make me so happy haha. I could chill my water and have a lovely meal in my room without having to fork out for a more expensive takeaway. I used the Tesco express down the street to get myself fresh food. The bathroom had a lovely heated towel Rail too so I had the warmest, fluffiest towel! Down in the lobby they have a Brita water filter, board games, extra kitchen equipment and food and drink. Will certainly return if I ever visit Glasgow again!
