The evening meal was appalling. We paid for the meal deal and then a few add ons. We ordered the gammon and mixed grill. Incredibly disappointing mixed grill, steak was small and undercooked, the gammon was smaller than a fried egg and inedible, the chicken was the size of half a tomato and dry. The gammon steak of the other meal was the size of a fried egg and incredibly salty. Our server was very inattentive and disinterested. When asked if we could move to a window table we were given a look and told the tables hadnt been cleaned yet. They later came back and moved us although they didnt seem pleased and then she ignored us. We have stayed in many premier inns but this is the first time we have had to complain. I didnt complain at the time as i felt it wouldnt be heard and i didnt want to make a scene. We had had an incredibly arduous day as our son was admitted to hospital. We just wanted to be served with a smile and get some decent food. Your servers may need to be reminded that they do not know what kind of day their customers have had and a smile and some courtesy goes a long way. I work in the hospitality industry so i understand if you are at the end of long shift it can be difficult to keep smiling but we must. As regular customers of Premier Inn we were incrediblt disheartehed by this experience.

Overall, a bit disappointing. Positives - Staff=friendly, efficient. Location - great for the hydro, as expected, safe easy walk from central glasgow, or take short train to exhibition centre. Average stuff...despite my room being premier plus, I wasn't very impressed, the great view was spoiled by a tiny window. Coffee pods have no details of what they are. Only a socket at one side of the bed. Decent shower. Negatives- virtually no sleep, due to the quilt being too heavy, mixed with the alarms going off at the hydro through the night. Breakfast- usual premier in food, but no hot buffet, and the following issues...hash browns inedible due to so much pepper in them, bacon and mushrooms cold and flavourless, black pudding too dry on outside....disappointing despite attentive and friendly staff member. Pleased to see a bath in the room, but due to someone's long hair on the shower wall, I was put off using the bath. Overall- needs improvement.

Room 443. Arrived for a work event with visually impaired colleagues and Amelia was very helpful and attentive with us. Explained everything on the menu and was patient. Great service. Had a great view from my room and close to the science centre, literally 5mins away.

Great price for a one night stay. We were attending a concert at the hydro so a handy location, 5 minute walk away. Check in was 3pm & the reception area was busy. Really annoying as no staff & had to check in & activate keys via a machine. No personal touch. Our room was on the 5th floor. Absolutely spotless & smelt lovely. We had a massive double bed & a sofa bed. Bed was clean & very comfy. We had a lovely view of the river. Room included a mirror & hair dryer. Be warned hair dryer has zero power. Overall perfection location & ammenties for a one night stay to attend the hydro- was peaceful at night also. My partner went for breakfast which was a buffett style, he said lots of choice which he enjoyed. There is a Costa within the hotel too which was nice to grab a coffee before leaving. 12pm checkout which was really handy also.

Wasn't staying overnight, was just looking for a quiet corner to read my book, too much to ask for maybe! I was met with Eastenders on the TV so loud it was blaring, others came & sat beside me chatting really loudly on their phones, fair enough you might say but I do think staff could control the noise a bit better in a certain area where people on their own might want some quiet.

Great value for money. Rooms very clean. Friendly helpful staff. Breakfast very nice, although the toaster did take quite a while to colour the bread. Location brilliant if visiting ovo hydro. Would defined use again if we ever visit Glasgow

Where to start... Rooms are immaculate, beds providing that guaranteed "good night's sleep" and very accommodating staff! We visited due to a dance comp for our children. We booked a table for 23 people on the Friday night for the Saturday night. Michelle went above and beyond to fit us all in. In true dance style we were running late and they were more than happy to push the table back by 15 minutes. A preorder was requested however completely understandable! On the night Nathan, Lauren and again Michelle went ABOVE and BEYOND to ensure all our needs were met. Nothing was too much bother for them... One side note... the manager could have tried to put a little smile on her face. Michelle for manager maybe?!?!

Nice view - bed ok but pillow not great for me. Lovely lady server in the restaurant but greeted by ‘ we only have a limited menu tonight …this was an understatement , Choice of pizza or burger … though they did manage to find gammon for our fussy eater . Service terribly slow when we had a show to get to ( 45 mins from ordering) . Breakfast was good but no one explained where hot food was so I sat with a cup of tea waiting to give my order when it was a buffet! I’ve been here before as it’s so convenient for SEC and much better previously
