The Glasgow hotel boasts an excellent location, truly superb. The breakfast spread is generous, and the front desk staff's service attitude is decent. It's conveniently located for trips to Edinburgh, and the rooms are well-equipped with good amenities.

The service was very friendly. I arrived in the morning, and after self-checking in at the machine, I was allowed an early check-in, which was much appreciated as it's quite rare in the UK where you usually can't check in until the afternoon.
When checking in at the machine, be mindful that your room number flashes by quickly, so you'll need to jot it down fast. There's a pen and a card sleeve next to the machine, which is helpful! If you really can't remember, you can ask the front desk or check your email. Emails are very commonly used in the UK, and this hotel also offers online check-out (they'll send an email on the check-out day), or you can simply check out at the front desk.
As I hadn't booked breakfast, I went to inquire at the front desk. The staff warmly and politely explained that if you pay at the front desk the day before, breakfast is £14 per person per day. However, if you just walk into the restaurant and pay on the day itself, it's £28. So, a heads-up to everyone: remember to book breakfast in advance if you want to save money!
The room came with two complimentary bottles of water, Walkers shortbread biscuits, an electric kettle, and tea sachets. Plus, there was daily housekeeping (which is quite rare in the UK), and they replenished the water and biscuits every day.
As is standard practice in UK hotels, there are no complimentary toothpaste, toothbrushes, or slippers, so remember to bring your own.
The location is very convenient. Please note that it's close to Central Station. For my trips to and from Glasgow, trains always stopped at Queen Street Station, so don't get them mixed up. However, the walk from the hotel takes you through the busiest part of the city center, which feels quite safe.
The hotel is housed in a former customs office building, so it consists of old and new wings, which are interconnected. The old wing houses the front desk and a comfortable lounge/reading area (complete with charging and co-working spaces). The way to the rooms (located in the new wing) is a bit winding at first, but easy once you get familiar with it. Both the elevator entrance and the elevator itself require key card access, which adds to the security.
It seems there are quite a few business/conference guests and tour groups staying here, so breakfast tends to get quite busy around 8 AM.
Overall, the hotel offers excellent value for money. While there are other hotels closer to the train station, their reviews weren't great, and this hotel truly lives up to its positive reputation.

Very nice hotel in a great location in Glasgow. Visited the Hydro for a show whilst staying and had a very pleasant walk along the river. Breakfast was great, though it does get very busy. Had a great meal at the restaurant and staff were all very friendly. Room was clean, and nicely furnished. Would return here for sure.

The hotel itself is fantastic, featuring beautiful architecture and vintage-style yet immaculately clean decor. While the rooms aren't large, their layout is incredibly practical and cozy. The restaurant is also a highlight; the staff provided exceptional service, and the food was delicious. We had an excellent two-night stay. The hotel is within walking distance of the city center, with two large supermarkets right outside the entrance. KFC, McDonald's, and the train station are all reachable within a 10-minute walk. The university quarter is also just a 10-minute bus ride away. Both Glasgow University and the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum (right opposite) are fantastic, and the university area boasts many authentic Chinese restaurants.

Visited during peak season, so the room rate wasn't cheap, but overall, the value for money was decent.
There's a shopping area downstairs and a river across the street, perfect for a stroll. It's also quite close to the train station, about a 10-minute walk.

The hotel's location is great, situated at the end of the main shopping street with views of the River Clyde from the window. There are plenty of seagulls flying around, and you can even feed them bread. There's a bus stop just a short walk from the entrance, and the subway station is about a 5-minute walk away, making it very convenient to get around. The hotel offers a buffet breakfast, and the traditional English breakfast was quite tasty. The room was a bit cramped for a double and a single bed, but the facilities were all good, and the shower water was very hot. Overall, a positive experience.

Our family of three had a comfortable stay. It offers great value for money, and the room was very clean and quite modern. It's a short walk from the train station, but the entrance is tiny and easy to miss; we actually mistook it for a private home at first! The lobby looked like it had been recently renovated – very new and stylish! Breakfast was surprisingly good, especially for a UK hotel.

This place offers excellent value for money, especially compared to Edinburgh, where it's truly unbeatable. Its proximity to the train station makes it a great base if you're staying in Glasgow and planning day trips to Edinburgh, as accommodations in Edinburgh are notoriously expensive and often poor value. Both the soundproofing and the views are good. The area around the train station is also very convenient for shopping and dining.

Fantastic hotel! Great location, just a 5-10 minute walk from the train station. It has a charming Scottish exterior but a modern interior, complete with an elevator. The bedding is super comfortable, it's very clean, and there's even a bar.

A good hotel in Scotland. The room size is enough for our 3 people family living. The beds are clean, tiidy and comfortable. It is just at the edge of the busiest city centre that provides a quiet environment.
Highly recommended and I will live in this hotel again when I come back from Edinburgh.

The room was quite spacious and very clean. Breakfast was a bit repetitive, with the same options offered every day. The central location was incredibly convenient for both shopping and getting around. Most of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. However, the check-out experience on the morning of the 30th was a disappointment. The short, slightly plump female front desk attendant was completely stone-faced throughout, which regrettably put a damper on what had been an otherwise wonderful stay.

Very close to the train station, my room had a river view and was very quiet with excellent soundproofing. The Scottish breakfast was also delicious.
