Hotels near Dumbreck, Glasgow

We had an amazing stay here. The location is near the Exhibition Centre station. The continental breakfast was hearty and delicious. Love the scottish black pudding.

Cannot fault this hotel, spotless clean, bed super comfy, smooth, fast check in, we were also given complimentary drinks as it was our anniversary, delicious breakfast and served up until 11am and check out is 12, cannot recommend enough, handy car park right next door and its discounted when staying in the hotel, we'll definitely be back

Very basic stay but not cheap. Room is big and the bed is pretty nice but carpet and table needs a refresh. Bathroom was pretty antiquated but adequate. It is a walk to city center but there are a bunch of clubs and restaurants right around the corner from the hotel. Subway stop is literally right next to the hotel.

Arrived at the hotel and the room was not ready which was fair enough, as I was very early. They let me put my bags into the storage compartment. Advised to return at check in time. When I arrived there was a problem with the pre payment I had made and they seemed unable to proceed unless I paid them again. It was not great service at all and left me out of pocket more so.

Everything was perfect except the morning I booked us breakfast at the hotel. Was met rudely by the woman in charge of breakfast stating it was not included... I advised her we had just paid at reception and she rolled her eyes. Went to the buffet and the milk had run out so asked her for some more and her response was there is some in the silver jug also if we looked. Another guest told her not to be so rude and stated there was none there either. She went to look and showed us it dripped some milk... I thought she was joking at this point but she stated it was enough to get us all tea.. I said I would like cereal please as we are paying a lot for breakfast and her response was ”and?” Everyone in the room was shocked as she stormed off... the orange juice also ran out and we were all denied a refill. Then at 9.59 am (breakfast runs until 10am) she started cleaning things away and my Mum and another guest asked her for 1 coffee before she turned off the machine and she stated it was 10am and they were all too late. At this point I went to reception as we paid and were denied many things and the response was to apologise but the guy stated management like her to clean up everything fast.... coffee was at least permitted which angered the woman and she continued then to bang plates angrily around us all. A horrible experience to an otherwise excellent hotel and stay. Rooms are well equiped and spotlessly clean but the staff in question should not be allowed to treat guests like this so avoid breakfast here as she does not want to work or treat people like humans it seems. Paid money for things we were refused and we were there 45 minutes before breakfast ended. Other guests went to front desk to discuss this also.

Beautiful old railway hotel adjacent to the station, which provides excellent access if visiting by train. Though the hotel has heritage, it has been brought up to date without loosing any of its feel as a beautiful old Victorian building. Our room was perfect, very quiet especially considering it is next to the station and the city centre, rhe beds were very comfortable, bathroom wonderful and temperature perfect. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Glasgow who doesn’t want to stay in a modern concrete box.

It's quite conveniently located within walkable distances from the city centre. The room is decent and clean. Members of staff are generally nice. Breakfast is included in the price so it's good value. Do not expect amazing views, rooms, or food. I would say, however, that it is a satisfactory experience for what I paid.

In the city center, the surrounding area is very convenient. It's good to walk around. I also found a convenience store selling Chinese food nearby. It's great. I stayed here for one night on a business trip. It's still very good.

The staff were so kind and hospitable. When I was feeling unwell they helped make sure I had some lemon water and got out of the restaurant quickly so I can rest. The location is right next to Buchanan Bus stop - so perfect for travelers needing to get to the airport or catch the bus to another city.

Good choice for short stays. Convenient, located next to central station. Book early for more savings
