Hotel Gladbeck Van der Valk

Nice place and quiet to go movie park . Alot of parking space. Breakfast is good. Really like the place. So many room and big and clean als wel.we really enjoy staying afew night. Great place to stay everything is close supermark. Restaurants.

Moviepark germany arrangement a 235 euro met: halloween park kaarten voor 2 dagen, een show, en parkeerkaart voor 2 dagen . hotel met 24uurs check in en ontbijt. Personeel spreekt engels en is erg vriendelijk. Let op, het hotel is wat ouder, je heb niet direct een lift. Je moet eerst een paar treden op/af om daar te komen. De kamer is daarom ook wat ouder. De deur van de douchecabine kon heel moeilijk open en dicht. De deur naar de badkamer was een schuifdeur dus die klappert heel erg als je die gebruikt. Ze stoken lekker heet in de kamers, maar de verwarming lager zetten kon niet en de ventilator deed het ook niet. Gelukkig was er een raam dat open kon. Het bed zit aan de muur vast, dus als wat je doet, daar kan de buren van mee genieten....en anders om. Ook werd er geen rekening gehouden door andere gasten met hoe gehorig het is. Dus wees er op bedacht dat je een aantal keer wakker word door mensen op de gang. Toch...als het alleen 1 nachtje is, dan is het betaalbaar en prima. Het bed is niet te zacht of te hard. Wij hebben eigen kussens mee genomen, want die zijn gewoon te zacht, maar hou je daar van, dan is dat ook goed. Er was een tv waar je een film kanaal hebt en verder moet je het zelf gezellig maken! Ze hebben wel een pool tafel in de lobby, een bar, en een mini game hall met spellen voor prijzen. Ontbijt was lekker uitgebreid en heerlijk van genoten. Verder de punten doorgegeven aan het hotel en ondanks die dingetjes, zou ik wel weer terug gaan.

On the terrace outside is the noise from the highway and railroad so loud and disturbing. The rooms are okay, so are the breakfast and service.

Nice hotel, as u can expect from Van der Valk. Good rooms and nice bathroom. Friendly staff. Good breakfast with plenty of choice for everyone. Child friendly hotel, we had a great stay! Kids enjoyed it to the fullest! The special offer for 2 nights and 2 days Warner Bros Moviepark was great, good price!

During my visit to Gladbeck, Germany in December 2022 for the K-show, our large group had the convenience of traveling with an Indian chef who made our stay at Van der Valk Hotel more comfortable. As we approached the hotel, its serene atmosphere immediately engulfed us, surrounded by nature in every aspect. The rooms were calm and incredibly cozy, allowing us to relax and unwind. Since we had our own chef, we never faced any issues with food. We had the luxury of excellent choices and delicious meals throughout our stay. However, there are a few areas where the hotel could improve. Firstly, it was embarrassing that the bathroom in our room didn't have a door. This made it uncomfortable to share the room with colleagues. Additionally, the service desk was frequently unattended, and there was a lack of room service. Even small requests that were communicated to the staff were not fulfilled. Despite these drawbacks, the staff at the counter remained positive and assured us that our needs would be met. However, it seemed to be more talk than action. On a positive note, the rooms and bedding were great, and the heating system worked perfectly. The experience of walking through the hotel's corridors and encountering stairs along the way added a unique touch, possibly due to the hotel's older style and architecture. Germans are strong and wouldn't mind this. but for us poor Indians with a pot belly its a tough one :) Overall, my stay at Van der Valk Hotel in Gladbeck was above average, thanks to the calm and cozy rooms. However, there is room for improvement, particularly in terms of staff responsiveness and fulfilling guest requests. Nonetheless, the serene ambiance of the hotel and its convenient location made it a decent choice for our visit.

We booked a double but got two singles and only one bedside table and lamp with no overhead light, making it difficult for two people to read. The TV did not work which limited the options. Both main courses were very dried out. The waiter was rude when I asked for sugar for my coffee. The first time that we have opted not to stay for a second night pre-booked.

Hotel of this nature should not serve sachets of mayonnaise and ketchup with dinner. Even the car park charger failed to work. The first time ever that we declined to stay on the second of our two booked nights.
