I spent 8 nights here on a business trip. The perfect hotel for me located in a cul de sac in a very quiet and green part of Johannesburg next to the Bruma lake park. The rooms were clean, spacious and equipped with a mini kitchen. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. A bonus for me was that the lay out of the hotel allowed me to safely make a circuit of 400 meters enabling me to walk 4 Km every morning. The location is also close to the Eastgate mall and 15 minutes from the international airport. I would recommend this little gem to anyone looking for a comfortable safe stay in Johannesburg.

FANTASTIC experience right from the moment I checked in. The hosts are super friendly and helpful, and even drove me to a shop nearby when I needed a SIM card. The property itself is PERFECT if you need a few days to relax and unwind after a stressful series of flights! The garden is lovingly manicured and even has a pool, which was a nice surprise. They also have a FREE shuttle service from and to the airport as long as you let them know when you need it. The hotel is only 5 minutes drive from O.R. Tambo airport too, so don't get scammed (like I did) by the airport taxis (they charged me 250 rand for a 5 minute drive!). The hotel has its own kitchen and menu and will deliver meals to your door, and they also have a small shop with toiletries, etc. which came in handy. WiFi is good too, even for video (definitely better than the airport's!😅). So, next time you're heading to Johannesburg, definitely book Emerald Hotel. We had a problem with the safe and they moved us immediately. The rooms are very large and comfortable. All the staff are very friendly and willing to help you with anything. They recommended a tourist tour and it was very good. The restaurant is very good and reasonably priced. They have shuttle service and they can take you anywhere for a reasonable price as well.

Exceeding expectations, no matter the price service is very satisfactory, clean, the front desk service is very good, the location is also good, it is very convenient to go out, the surrounding area is a bustling area, but there are snacks next to it, small supermarket, opposite Carrefour supermarket, it is worth staying again.

I have lived here for how many months? honestly the management Has a wrong way of treating their guest long stay or not.. I mean I was paying 650 everyday and never once did they remember to send a cleaner..don’t pay up by 10:41am and then cleaner comes after 10days and she isn’t supposed to clean?! For a place I have stayed at the same apartments for 4months?
