We went on a family vacation to Gerlos and stayed at this hotel. Positives: Our hotel room was comfortable. The beds were nice and we slept well. The swimming pool, although crowded, is great. The outdoor pool was very popular with the kids. Nice to have the sauna after a day of skiing. The playing gym for the kids (with movie nights and kids disco) is a great addition with the lovely Dragi to watch over the kids. The hotel is situated very close / walking distance to the ski rental and main lift. The ski bus to the kids lift stops right in front of the hotel. Lots of families so many kids to play together. Negatives: We didn’t like some of the staff members: our waiter most evenings was not friendly and didn’t smile once. One receptionist was terribly rude while the others were all polite and helpful. We didn’t like the food. It was way too salty for our taste. The kids menu was not healthy so our kids ate cucumbers from The salad bar and a lot of plain pasta.

Excellent hotel with all the facilities you could need! The location is second-to-none for skiers, as the hotel is linked to the gondola via an underground route. The gondola station has ski lockers that are super-useful; you can store two people's skis, boots, gloves, helmets etc securely. We paid 5euro per day for this through the hotel. The hotel rooms are comfortable and spacious; I was travelling with my brother and booked a room with a double bed and sofa bed, however when we checked in we had been allocated a huge room, with a bedroom and a living room that could be separated by a door, and the generous sofa bed was ready in the living area, which was perfect for us as we both had our own space! The hotel rooms have all the amenities you need, including toiletries, bathrobes, hairdryer, TVs, safe, and plenty of storage for your belongings. Our room had a nice balcony overlooking the main street in Gerlos, which provided a lovely view at night of the other buildings on the street lit up, as well as the snowy mountains. The hotel has plenty of amenities that make your stay very comfortable: there's a beautiful spa / pool area (there's a separate spa area for adults only, with a selection of saunas, steam room, relaxation area etc.), in the pool area there is also another sauna. There's two pools, one inside and one outside (you enter the outdoor pool straight from inside, so you don't need to run out in the cold!). The hotel bar is spacious, and we found it very comfortable when playing cards in the evenings, although it did get quite lively later on in the night! The service in the bar was excellent, the barman always came to offer table service. The food was a particular highlight of our stay, with a plentiful offering of locally-sourced and fresh food! The breakfast was a large buffet offering all the items you could want - even rice pudding! There was plenty of healthy options, as well as more indulgent ones. There is an afternoon snack available which we only used once, as we prefer to stop out on the slopes for lunch. Dinner in the hotel's restaurant is absolutely amazing. There's 5 courses on offer every night, and a gala dinner once per week. You select your main course at breakfast every day. We were never hungry during our stay as there was so much good food on offer! There's also a large selection of Austrian wines on offer, and the hotel, as well as the rest of the area, serve the Zillertal Bier, which is really nice! It's a shame we haven't found somewhere that will deliver it to the UK. By far the most important factor was how friendly the staff were; they were so accommodating and it felt like they really cared about making your stay enjoyable. The staff in the restaurant were particularly friendly - Natasa looked after us for a lot of our stay, and she was always happy and smiling! If you prefer to keep to yourself, the hotel has an app where you can view all of their information, dinner times etc., which we also used. T

The stay was super. Good staff, service, food, location, kids club, etc.. It just feels like home... we only stayed 5 days, but the holiday was great. We had the junior suite room #222, and it was super clean and nice. Our kids from 9 and 11 had great fun at the kids club (thanks Leonie).

I stayed for 8 days in an apartment in the Bergjuwel complex, which has direct access to the rest of the hotel. The apartment was all new, spacey, and felt like a luxury. It had everything you needed. The staff was beyond friendly and the hotel has a quiet and friendly and very relaxing atmosphere. It is a place with a lot of regulars coming back year after year - having existed since 1932. I was traveling alone and it was fine. There were also many families with children. There is a nice quiet garden and an indoor and outdoor pool. My only complaint would be, that the restaurant is only open for dinner between 1800 and 2000 and that they do not automatically serve outside on a nice warm summer evening. In that sense, it does seem like an old-fashioned place. If you are traveling without children, it can be nice to go out for a late dinner, say 2000 or 2030. But then there are several other restaurants in Gerlos to choose from. Will I be back: Yes I will book again at Gaspingerhof next year.

I highly reccomend Gaspingerhof Hotel. Pleasent staff, spacious and very clean rooms, good food, lovely pool and a bice bar close to reception. We will be back! The hotel has also the option ( connection) to go directly to the gondola. This is a big plus for skieers.

I travelled with 2 friends which is always a difficult number when trying to book accommodation. Fortunately the hotel Gaspingerhof offers family rooms. We booked a family room deluxe with balcony which contained a double bed & a very comfortable pull out sleeping couch in the main room with sufficient space between to offer privacy, plus a separate room with a single bed, perfect for 3 adults. The room had more than enough storage space with multiple wardrobes & various other drawers. The shower/ WC room was very pleasant & to a high standard. My only minor gripe is that there was no safe in the room and the balcony wasn't very appealing but as we spent hardly any time in the room, that is of little consequence. The dining area is very nice - we opted for half board which offers a substantial breakfast buffet & a 5 course evening meal which is high quality. The bar area is very pleasant with very attentive staff who serve until last customer retires to bed. The spa area is very nice with decent sized indoor and outdoor pools plus sauna & various other bits. There is convenient tunnel link from hotel to the ski depot which means you can walk to your boot locker in your slippers if you wish. The tunnel also gives you access to the nearby excellent Gaspis restaurant / bar. Finally & most importantly, the hotel staff are all very attentive and friendly, making you feel at home instantly. We enjoyed a fine stay & I would highly recommend a visit.

We had an excellent stay at Gaspingerhof. The facilities were great, i liked the spacious room ( where i could work in silence) , having diner/breakfast at the restaurant was pleasant and the kitchen was excellent and flexible with an attractive wine list. The location of the hotel was just perfect. On top of all, the staff at the reception was lovely and helpful. I highly recommend a stay at Gaspingerhof.

Ski holiday 8days. Excellent facilities with 2 times spa. Ok fitness facilities and rooms are what you expect. Location directly at main gondel. Main criticism is that hotel is quite expensive as expected but that bar area is below standard. Cocktails are very expensive and not really good. There are better quality options in the village at half the price.
