It started off rough. Got into the hotel early to leave our luggage and the guy manning the check in was cold, standoffish, and didn’t even bother replying to our pleasantries. When we returned, a misunderstanding ensured. Cos of my earlier encounter, I was just unreasonable. But thank goodness for Suhaila (I think) and her manager - they deescalated the situation with grace and aplomb. That bump aside, I had a lovely time. Was in room 213. Initially I was worried because I have read about noise issues coming from the club next door. But either the club was closed or the soundproofing worked, there were no disturbances. We slept like babies. The room was beautiful, and the location is amazing. This hotel is highly Recommended. Just don’t bother to pay extra for the breakfast. That was just too sad. We tried it on our last day in the hotel as we were leaving early for the airport. It was dismal.

If you like Nanyang Hokkien culture, you deserve to stay here for a few nights. The style of the hotel is based on Nanyang architectural features. The interior and exterior design of the gate, inner and outer courtyards make people feel very relaxed. The location of the hotel is good. It is on the outside of Love Lane. It will not be too noisy from other bars and restaurants in the lane. There are many restaurants and bars nearby. I recommend Decheng Restaurant and the nearby stall of wanton noodle fried kway teow. The outside is also close to the sea There are also some scenic spots where you can take a walk with the sea breeze. The room arrangement is good this time. It is a bungalow on the second floor facing the gate. The bed-shaped bathroom is very spacious and clean. There are two small chairs for drinking tea and coffee and watching the birds and flowers outside. There is also a public space outside the door to read books, drink coffee and play board games. Even if it is raining outside, you can chat with friends and play games inside. The breakfast is good. There are self-service and set meals, and the portions are quite sufficient. Next time I come to Penang, I will continue to choose 23lovelane☕️.

The hotel is good and clean, but the service of parking security is terrible, before we check in, one of the security was playing his phone and videocalling with his friend，so he didnt even notice our car，when he finally noticed us after my husband was leaving to check in first， he knocked our car heavily，and said this is not parking area，i said ok，just a second，he is checking in，the security was rolling his eyes and said it emphasisly again，asked me to move it and i dont even have driving license here. One minutes later ，my husband was back with room card，he checked and let us just parking right there！！ can not believe there are rude staff in this fancy hotel！ 这个酒店的保安无比地*****，我们车停在门口去checkin ，有一个印度保安当时在草丛里玩手机压根没看到我们，然后我老公刚离开座位，车引擎今年还开这，就听见有人猛敲我车窗，我吓一跳看见这个印度保安从草丛里跑出来手机不玩了，说这不是停车位，我说好的 等一分钟，他去checkin ，我们马上开走，他在那翻着白眼大声说这不是停车位！ 我说我没驾照，不然你来开。他一副高高在上的嘴脸，站在我车门口，然后等我老公出来拿着房卡，他一看是酒店的客人，就说把车摆正，等我们下车他赶紧跑远了。酒店平时都没有服务态度的培训吗，他都把自己当这酒店主人了

My elderly parents stayed at The Gurney during their medical checkup in Penang and accidentally left behind some documents. We emailed the hotel and left a message through booking.com to no avail. Then through a phone call, we got connected to Danesh at the Concierge Department, who then went the extra mile to coordinate among various departments within the hotel, and mailed the document through express courier service. His attentive service is highly appreciated.

The white elevator is very unique to this elevator. Tho it was slow but I don’t mind bec it so chic with glass door. Very unique indeed! Love it though I wasn’t able to take pic. 😒 +++ white elevator, water refilling dispenser, very spacious room & bathroom +++ location was quite away from the main action but there are 2 bus stops nearby, komtar & chowrasta are 5-10mins walk +++ they provide dental kit, small soap, nice shampoo/conditioner & body wash, mugs, electric kettle, safe, ref, ac was functioning very well, room telephone, tv but i did not use it +++ free wifi was good —- reception is not very friendly except for 1 Indian guy who promptly answers whatsapp tho he mistaken me for a guy at first 😄, the chinese receptionist hardly smiles, indian lady seemed to not know anything when you ask about tourist spots (i think hotel people should equip themselves with some knowledge on tourism. I mean there should be basic orientation by management on this. Times had changed and you need to have these extra customer service, just suggesting). —- i was in the assumption that cleaning is daily but i was told every other day but i still need to remind them about it. Entire hotel can use some improvement in the cleaning — no closet inside the room, you just have to hang your stuff —- my view was a huge wall —- soundproofing is bad, very noisy when people close doors or children running around. You hear toilet flushing from nearby rooms —- it was raining when I arrive and nobody offered an umbrella except on the second day when the janitor heard me. That was appreciated very much. It also made me realize that umbrella is a weapon for solo travellers so that made the carrying a little easier —- towels smell mushy maybe bec of rainy season —- sometimes bathroom had some drainage smells —- food choices was a little limited in area unless you walk for like 5-10mins. Overall stay was still on the good side. I had way worst stays than this. I did enjoy my solo trip to Penang and would love to go back. I plan to stay next time near the street art areas where the actions are. I would still recommend le embassy to other travellers.

Modern and comfortable room located right in the heart of the shopping cluster and beside attractions at The TOP, though it’s a slightly longer walk to the Kimberly Street and Chulia Street Night Markets, as well as the street art area around Armenian Street. The location is great, walking distance to nearby mall & eateries. Room was spacious & decorated in luxurious style. Toilet was clean & equipped with bath tub which was a plus point for us. Love the breakfast spread that consisted of various nice food choices & the waitresses was very helpful especially to elderly. The only drawback was noise made by nearby hotel/ karaoke area at night. Unexpectedly, Penang is so cheap to eat and sleep, with a single room for NT$500 per night, with its own private space, bathroom, and even a desk and chair wardrobe. And the space is spacious and does not seem crowded. The staff is kind and kind, located in the city center, close to the bus terminal. Really picky, that is, the damp musty smell is heavier, and the air conditioner can be improved for a while.

We stayed with the Ascott group numerous times for its cleanliness and well-maintained facilities around the world, and Citadines Connect Georgetown is no exception. The building is renovated from a historical building which gives the hotel a mixture of cultural and contemporary vibe. It's a 3-story newly-built hotel and everything you see is brand new and tidy. The lobby is not large, but there are plentiful spaces to rest for a while. The room we stayed in is Studio Executive, and it's clean enough. The air-conditioning system utilized a touch panel for you to easily adjust to your liking. There are no drinking bottles inside the room but a water dispenser is just in the hallway, both environment-friendly and convenient. One of the things worthy of notice is the tap water system, where hot and cold water may be installed conversely. The hotel itself is located around minutes walk from Komtar neighborhood, and you can easily take buses to the airport or to other areas of Penang via the Komtar terminal. Several malls are also in this area to give you the convenience of shopping. The well-known hawker food centre at Lebuh Presgrave crossroad is also close by, where you can easily grab most of the famous and delicious local dishes here. CAT bus station is also not far from the hotel, and you can tour the UNESCO sites with it for a day trip. Overall, it's an excellent choice to stay here for its brand-new facilities, and its convenience regarding transportation, shopping, and dining.

The front desk service of the hotel is very good. It will speak Mandarin and Cantonese. It will tell you where the main push is in Penang. In the evening, you will put sugar on the bed. The Magazine Vista Hotel in Penang is more cost-effective. When choosing this hotel, I consulted for a long time, such as booking (more reviews, good or bad), Ctrip (only a simple review). Because it only opened in 2018, the hardware is very new, and the hygiene is good. I especially like to have a washing machine, but I have to find a place to dry the clothes indoors. The location of the apartment is very good. On the left is the GAMA supermarket, and on the right is the landmark of Everbright. Fruits and snacks have their own favorites! Call the front desk before arriving at the hotel, because the front desk is not here, so call in advance and the hotel will send staff to wait at the door. When you call, you need to speak English. There is a Chinese-speaking waiter. India borrowed ”Di Li” (transliteration)-Figure 6 this one. If you call him, you will have no difficulty in communication. He will come to collect a tax of MYR 10 per night, introduce room facilities, and even help you set up a taxi app on your phone. The network is poor and it can't be connected for a few days, so it is important to buy a local phone card. On the second floor facing the street, the noise of motorcycles on the street is loud, which will affect the rest. These problems are not big, this hotel is worth recommending.

The hotel's location is acceptable, though it's not particularly close to the old town center. Regrettably, the Wi-Fi was nonfunctional throughout my stay. Despite reporting this issue to the receptionist, who insisted it was operational, I was even unable to receive messages on WhatsApp. The room, while somewhat compact, is manageable for a brief stay. An odd design choice is the air conditioning unit, which is positioned directly opposite the bed. This made it uncomfortable to use at night, as the airflow directly targeted the sleeping area.
