A refreshing new experience with a Nanyang-style vibe, very comfortable and satisfying. Every photo I took turned out great. The hygiene was impeccable, and the air conditioning was perfectly cool. The staff were very friendly and polite. There are plenty of great food options nearby. Don't hesitate, just choose this place!

The hotel staff were great; they even let us check in early at noon since our flight arrived in the morning. The room had a charming old-house feel, and the bed was so comfortable that we slept really well during our stay. The only minor downside was the mosquitoes, which seemed to come up from the bathroom pipes. We had to keep the air conditioning on at night to keep them at bay. Hope this can be improved.

Very nice Nd elegant hotel in colonial style. Pool was smaal but very relaxing after a day of exploring. Only negative is mosque is close by what will wake you up in the morning

A gorgeous, beautiful, and authentic hotel where every detail has been meticulously thought out. I stayed for one night during peak season in the latter half of January 2026. ROOM: Located on the second floor, designed for four guests (two couples), featuring two large beds and a sofa. Amenities included a silent ceiling fan, ducted air conditioning, a refrigerator, and two 43-inch Panasonic TVs with USB ports but no YouTube. There's no electric kettle in the room, but electric thermos pots are available on the floor, along with unlimited tea, coffee, and snacks. Upon arrival, the room had four large bottles of water, plenty of fresh lemons, juice, and a non-alcoholic drink in the fridge. Street noise is audible in the room; to mitigate it, you need to close the bathroom windows. While not a cheap hotel, it's luxurious and in excellent condition. A stroll through its grounds and building offers genuine aesthetic pleasure. LOCATION: Not far from the old center of George Town. A taxi from the airport takes 50 minutes and costs 45-60 Ringgit.

Service is top-notch and the room is spacious. I feel so much at home. Highly recommended.

This is our usual hotel when we visit Penang a couple of times a year for past few years. Still receiving good service and enjoying a comfortable stay. The hotel managed to accommodate special requests from our end and we were delighted and grateful.  If there is ONE thing that need to be improved - it is the PARKING. Husband waited for almost 1 hr for parking, in the end we drove around town, went for a meal or two, did some shopping etc before we came back and got a parking down the road from the hotel. It was crazy especially on a hot day. Parking gets easier after 6:00pm.

Fantastic spot in Georgetown. The staff is incredibly helpful and the hotel property is fantastic - it feels like a peranakan museum that you get to live in! Can’t recommend this stay enough.

Jawi Peranakan Mansion is a beautiful building. Room was very spacious and well designed. Bedroom and bathroom amenities are good. We stayed in room on ground floor and mornings can be a little loud but not too disruptive. A nice stay if you are looking for something unique in the heart of penang.

The architecture and rooms have a distinct Nyonya style, somewhat reminiscent of boutique hotels like Huajian Tang in China. However, the air conditioning was a bit difficult to control, and there's a noticeable old wooden smell, which could be quite off-putting for those sensitive to such things. Steer clear of the north-facing rooms on the second floor; they are located very close to a mosque. The call to prayer, four times a day, is incredibly loud. The 5 AM prayer was particularly disruptive, sounding as if it was right next to my ear. Additionally, there's a rather foul-smelling drainage ditch right at the courtyard entrance, but this seems to be more of a general old town infrastructure problem rather than the property itself. Despite these drawbacks, the place is incredibly photogenic and makes for some beautiful pictures. If you're not bothered by the aforementioned issues, it's otherwise a very charming stay, perfect for capturing great photos 🤳🏻.

I must say that this mansion is not the best option; it is significantly more expensive than five-star hotels, offers subpar service, and has unsatisfactory facilities and cleanliness.
