The room is spacious and clean. There is microwave, fridge, electric stove, plates, bowls, cutlery and etc. can pack food back and eat comfortably with a proper dining table. It is about 5 mins walk to Anson Road market, 20 mins walk to komtar. Will come again next time.

Everything was good. The one and only thing that needs to approve is to be more flexible on the check in process. Understand that the check in timing is 3pm but the front desk can collect the guest information and prepare the room keys and stuff before the check in commence at 3pm. It was terrible when a guest walked into the lobby and saw a full crowd at the front desk and a long queue waiting for check in. I hope this can be improved. Otherwise the negative feedback on the check in process will keep repeating. Besides, the deposit using cash needs to wait for 10 min for the room inspection before checkout and i can take it back... This is the first time I have encountered it.

Stayed at 22 Macalisterz Premium Suites Penang by Byon and overall it was a good value stay. The location is convenient with easy access to food and nearby attractions. Room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with basic amenities like kitchenware and water dispenser. The rooftop pool and view were nice highlights. However, service is quite minimal as it feels more like a serviced apartment than a hotel. There were some issues like longer waiting time for lifts and occasional smell in certain areas. Overall, great for short stays or groups, especially if you want comfort and value, but don’t expect full hotel service.

I had a wonderful experience staying at 22 Macalister. The rooms were notably clean and comfortable, making for a very relaxing visit. I do have two small suggestions to further improve the guest experience: • Floor Mats: It would be great to have an additional floor mat at the room entrance. Currently, there is only one provided in the bathroom. • Poolside Amenities: I’d recommend adding more seating or small tables near the pool. It was a bit challenging to find a place to set down towels and personal items while swimming. Special Mention I want to give a huge shout-out to Deshan (I hope I’ve spelled her name correctly!) for her exceptional hospitality. She made the check-in process seamless and made us feel truly welcome from the moment I arrived. Overall, a great stay—I would definitely return!

The property is fairly new, but our bathroom (21F-3A) has faint sewage smell, which is discomforting. Onsite carpark charge for guest is RM9 per day (multiple entry) and we're required to validate our car's number plate at the reception on a daily basis or the parking will be charged by the hourly rate. Overall the room is clean, and the amenities are adequate for a short stay. The gym room at 36F is well equipped and the roof top infinity pool is very popular.
