Convinient hotel with good vibe and facility. Location is also strategic

We booked a tour of Indonesia through Turquoise Holidays who suggested, and arranged, a fantastic itinerary for us. The first stop on our tour was the MesaStila. We were picked up at Yogyakarta airport by our Destination Asia guides (arranged through Turquoise) and it was a couple of hours drive north to the hotel (the traffic was extremely busy!) The hotel is set in a fairly remote jungle area north of Magelang and has fantastic views of the nearby volcanoes and jungle. We were welcomed at the Club House with a cold drink and told about all the facilities on offer. There is a spa and gym (and even an outdoor “jungle gym”) a restaurant, sunset lounge bar, tennis courts. There are complimentary activities including yoga, a tour of their own coffee plantation, batik, Javanese dance and a guided village walk. The villas are set in large grounds on the side of the hill and are all very private with stunning views. Our agent at Turquoise had mentioned that we were celebrating our 30th anniversary and we were upgraded to an Arum villa. Staff had also prepared a lovely cake for us! The villa was very spacious and had a large “double bath” as well as double sinks and a shower. We had a covered terrace with a view of the volcanoes and an indoor dining area. Each day we had breakfast at their Java Red restaurant which included western as well as Indonesian specialities. They also served a “shot” of jamu (an Indonesian health drink) with a range to choose from – very interesting!! We went on day trips to the Borobudur and Prambanan temples (with Destination Asia) which are both withing striking distance. We also enjoyed a tour of the hotels coffee plantation, saw how they process and roast the coffee they harvest and had a taste in their coffee shop. We bought some beans to bring home. We even managed some pool time when the weather allowed. Dinner was a mix of western and Indonesian food with amazing cocktails (Java Spice was my favourite) and some decent wines. All the food was excellent. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. It was quite quiet at the hotel (we only saw two or three other couples) but this gave it a peaceful and relaxing vibe. A great place to stay and explore central Java.

Escape from the city, this resort is a hidden gem of Salatiga city. The high ceiling, wooden furniture, the balcony and trees will bring you the ambience of natural resort. Goes here will give at least experiences of nice living of Salatiga and paradise resort, combine with excellence services of Javanese tradition. enjoy your wine in a romantic natural scene, who doesn’t want?

Comfortable, but in the morning housekeeping was a bit annoying because they wanted to clean the room I was still in

Been staying here a few times during the pandemic. Now that we're looking for a long-time stay, we had asked for a quotation (multiple times) to the appointed personnel: the gentleman from Sales and some ladies from FO, who both only giving a false hope and not doing their job to at least give a rough quotation. They also don't have synchronized answer regarding the health protocols and requirements we need to bring to the hotel. I must say that the security, housekeeping and waitress from the restaurant are doing terrific job; such an unfortunate that those who sits behind the desk are not being empathetic and accommodating at all. P.S. The hotel needs to be more strict with the wearing the mask policy outside the room since we've witnessed there are plenty of guest who's just mask-free every time they're out. Put more a mandatory sign to wear a mask throughout the property please. Not only in the lobby.

the shower,the water is cold all right and left,can't get slippers

It's quite cheap for a family type room. It's only 300 thousand a day, including breakfast for 3 people. Unfortunately, breakfast is delivered to the room and there is no menu choice. The room and bathroom are quite clean. But the pool water is not clean and there is no warm water to rinse.

this hotel is strategic in position in the interconnection beetween magelang city and district magelang (different administration area), you can go to the mall which has a connection alley to and from the hotel, and the mall is the only mall that fulfill the standard mall that has a decent foodcourt and etc to buy. you can go around the city from the hotel in a comfortable distance.

I was interested in staying at this hotel because of its unique location in a residential complex and the beautiful atmosphere around the hotel. I made a reservation through booking.com, all processes until I checked in everything went smoothly, the check-in process was very efficient, no more than 3 minutes. However, all thoughts of enjoying a clean and quiet room, and the desire to enjoy the surroundings of the hotel through the bedroom window, vanished in an instant. My eyes immediately found strands of hair on the couch and also on the bathroom floor, and the bedroom window was closed with an iced glass window which made sure I couldn't see anything from the room, let alone enjoy the natural atmosphere that had been beautiful in my mind. DISAPPOINTED. TIPS : 1. Please be careful when getting off the vehicle in front of the hotel lobby, because that area is also a road for residential residents, so make sure it is safe before you get out of the vehicle, because sometimes from the left and right vehicles pass by at high speed. 2. Make sure that your room's window is _see through_ so that you will not _trapped_ in a room with NO view!

I went here on January 3rd, 2020. Checked in procedures very fast, they just collect a copy of your ID and sign on paper agreement. I got a smoking room despite i already mention of non smoking room. The bedsheet and pillow had unpleasant smell, the smell of not dry linen. Not to mention the smoking smell. The replacement room is also the same. The Toiletries is the worst ever, No hand soap, mo face towel, no comb, no shower cap They jus prepare 1 toothbrush inside a printed big box. Towel look like old and never change for years with many stain and broken edges. The shower gell container cannot be use. When I complained, they just move the gel inside a glass. The room is not soundproof. The noise from outside very bad, and also sound from upstair room, we could hear someone steping and chair being moved.
