Beautiful resort in a wonderful location. We traveled end of April and the grounds needed a lot of TLC. Did not see a single person working on the gardens or cleaning the pathways. Pools were closed and only one restaurant was open. Prices are steep. I would like to experience the resort when it is fully open.

Visited Gateway Canyons Resort with my best friend for a girls day and massages. We received an email asking if we wanted to upgrade the room and said what the heck. We were actually lucky enough to get an extra upgrade to their casitas. It was clean, spacious, and very nicely decorated. First complaint is the lack of information about what is going on at the resort. Our massage therapist was amazing but the spa facilities are under construction so there’s not much there. Also, when checking in I asked where the spa was and the receptionist shrugged and couldn’t tell me where it was. We were told the pool wasn’t open for the season even though there were people swimming in it? The outdoor shower was winterized. Only one of the three restaurants, the casual Paradox Grille was open. None of this is trip ruining but it would be nice to know with how expensive it is. We went to the Paradox Grille for dinner and were told it would be a 30 minute wait but we could sit at the bar. Until we realized that people who were walking in after us were being sat and served. In their own words they apologized for “forgetting us”. Dinner was good but pricy. We went back to use our fire pit only to find out it didn’t work. I went to use the phone in the room to call the front desk and it was broken as well so I tried to call from my phone twice and got no answer. At this point we were ready to head out in the morning until about 4 am when the food poisoning hit. I really wish I was joking or exaggerating but we hadn’t been around each other until we got to the resort and both only had one glass of wine then we both got violently sick about 8 hours after eating at the Paradox Grille. Save your money and your stomach.

Very disappointed on this place! Lovely area and we stopped for one night on our way back from Moab with our family. There is nothing around so very quiet! We had booked a 2 bedroom suite thinking it would fit our larger family 2 adults and 3 kids. Said foldout coach, we get there and the place has two room with a king in each and no couch that fold out!! My 3 kids can not all sleep in a King and technically that is fraudulent to say that this place was for 5 peoplw when only 4 bed spots!! We had to fight for a rollaway bed since room was not “zoned” for it! The hot tub was gross and filled with leafs. There was a sad petting zoo that even if it was during open hours no one was tending too! It had a chicken, goat and some really dirty sheep. I am so absolutely appalled and disappointed considering we paid 1K for this room. It was spring break so definitely off season but it felt like a ghost town.

The weekend was great. I was greeted when I got there had lunch. Then headed for the car museum was awesome. Then took along walk Retreated to my room which was fantastic I had my own personal hot tub. The pools were closed seasonal relaxed in the hot tub then went back to the grille for drinks then sat by the fire pit

I've lived in Colorado my whole life and didn't know this existed. It's a gorgeous area. The drive at night was sketchy, almost killed half a dozen deer, elk and big horn...but beautiful! Not a lot of options for food outside of the hotel, none actually.

Just what the title says. Do not stay here. Do not have an event/wedding here. Place is disgusting, run down, filthy, etc. Things are filthy or broken. Food is nasty, auto museums are gone. Just don’t stay here! That’s too bad because it’s in a very beautiful area.

Gateway Canyon Resort is a hidden gem. The staff is ready to help with anything you need and they go the extra mile to make your stay memorable. The facility and rooms were immaculate and the grounds are beautifully kept. We enjoyed hiking in the nearby canyon and soaking on our private outdoor hot tub. We will be back!

The staff, facilities and the location of this resort were all phenomenal. It was winter time so we were here during the off season. It was still absolutely beautiful and the smaller staff that is here for the off season took great care to make sure that we were happy with our stay.
