Great location on the outskirts of town but easily walked from the station in the summer/autumn, just be aware of the hike up a steep trail to the entrance - there is an alternative! Food was wonderful - great variety in the buffet breakfast and dinner. Staff were very friendly and helpful; they make you so welcome. At the back of the hotel are trails with fabulous views of Zugspitze and Alpspitze; you can hike the old bob sleigh run, too. We really enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return.

I didn't pay much attention when I made the reservation. I thought it was a B&B hotel, but I didn't expect it to be a large five-star hotel halfway up the mountain. The scenery is unparalleled. You can see the Alps and lakes from the lawn outside the hotel. There is a hiking route directly up the mountain. The breakfast is also very rich and parking is convenient.

A beautifully located hotel, great ambience and a wonderful spa area. We will definitely go back. Breakfast and dinner were great.

The reception is friendly. The hotel is beautifully situated on the Riessersee with a view of the mountains or GAP. From here you can start beautiful hikes. In summer, the lake invites you to swim.
We were here a few years ago for winter sports.
We had a maisonette and that was really great... and 2 balconies with a view of the lake. Everything clean and tidy.
The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired! You can also sit outside.
In the spa area saunas... and pool as well as a small whirlpool - from here access to the sun terrace.
You can also book treatments.
In the Seehaus you can get delicious food and sit comfortably.
We liked it very much.
We will come back.

Nice location, overlooking Garmisch - make sure you sit in the chairs on the hill above the spa. The view from the Seehaus (lake restaurant) towards the mountains was also very impressive. The lake was smaller than expected but refreshing to cool off in during the hot daytime weather in July. Rooms were comfortable, and lots of good food to choose from at breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Staff was very nice - and Carmen at the front desk was very helpful in securing some last-minute e-mountain-bike-rentals for us. A nice home base to use when visiting GaPa, just a short drive into town for shopping / bars / restaurants.
