Hotel Clarion

This hotel shouldn't be in any of bookings as this can't consider to be proper hotel

I was lucky to have a room in the new building and not in the old that is outdated. The room is comfortable, clean, modern and inserted in a quiet neighborhood. A few steps from Kandy road and close to the University it was a good location for me to work. Good internet and workstation with several restaurants and supermarkets very close was advantage. The swimming pool is outdated and the gym is in renovation works. They offer breakfast and dinner in room service. Good SPA and cheap 5000r. The staff was polite and helpful to anything I ask.

The worst staff and very poor maintenance. Please avoid to stay in the hotel No lights in the bathroom Air-conditioning is 30 years old. Bathroom fittings are not in properly fitted. No floor mats in the bathroom and room also. Complement breakfast is horrible.

I’m really disappointed to write a review this way but it will help others to think twice before booking this hotel. I ll mention point by point. 1. Old building ( though they have a new one , that’s untidy ) 2. Dirty towels & linen. , washroom , room floor , furniture etc. 3. Overall staff were friendly and attentive. 4. Maintenance of the entire hotel cleanliness is disaster. Sometimes bad smell inside the washroom , washroom floor is too dirty. 5. I will never ever stay at this venue for any reasons. Think not twice , hundred times before making a booking.

It was so amazing to stay in a hotel like clarion and the service was excellent and room service , house keeping , laundry did and amazing job to satisfy our stay for three nights and it was a wow from us to all the staff and specially Mr.R. C. Anderson the consultant of the Clarion , a man behind the scene with lots of experience in the hotel field for more than two decades and he is the one who recommended us to stay in this hotel and we will comeback again and we would recommend this hotel to any guests who wants hospitality experience with value for money and this the place , once again thank you everyone including Sanjaya the man always helpful at the reception, he will help out of the way to make our stay happy .

Disappointed and Terrible Rooms. they provide us with a room with no AC working and no hot water not even the floor is clean. we were totally Disappointed and left the hotel immediately. even management does not care about it.
