The hotel environment was great, and although the pool was small, it was very comfortable, and swimming was very enjoyable.

This is a delightful hotel about 20 minutes from the airport at negombo. It is an old plantation house which has been extended with more bedrooms. Our twin bedded room was well laid out and very comfortable . The pool area was incredibly relaxing, just what we needed after a long flight. We had a light complimentary afternoon tea and the dinner we had in the evening was exceptional. Sadly we only stayed one night before we started our travels around the island .

After a long flight - we received a warm welcome. We only stayed one night, wished we’d book ended our trip with Wallawwa. Dinner was perfect, preceded by happy hour. Perfect start to our holiday. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Thank you

Wallawwa is a hidden treasure close to Colombo airport. Regardless of arriving around 3am we were greeted warmly with a welcome drink & iced towel. The Mountbatten room was a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite of huge proportions with lovely high ceilings and a private secluded pool. A large 4 poster bed with mosquito nets and lots of comfortable areas to sit. The food was fantastic- I am gluten free & by breakfast the chefs have prepared home made gluten free bread. The breakfast & dinner choices were excellent, the food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. A gluten free birthday cake also appeared at dinner time for my birthday which was lovely. The hotel grounds were delightful again with several quaint sitting areas to enjoy a drink or snack.

Recently stayed at the start of our Sri Lanka holiday for 2 nights with another couple. The rooms were very spacious and beautifully decorated. The staff were very attentive throughout our stay, even in the early hours of our first day (4.30 am). Food was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel and grounds only 15 minutes from the airport. The perfect location for the last night of our trip. It is like an oasis with a stunning pool and grounds, great rooms with huge bathrooms, quirky areas for relaxing and good food in the restaurant. The service from Dinesh and the team was excellent. Social drinks was also a nice touch.
