Can I give a one-star review? For a start, my credit card company declined the reservation charge. I got a message to contact the motel and charge it again. My husband called, explained the situation, and charged it to his credit card. The next day, I noticed my credit card had been charged anyway, so we supposedly had 2 charges. We both went to the front desk, and I tried to explain the situation. The woman at the front desk cut me off abruptly and started printing the room statement. She was very upset during the interaction, as if we were interrupting something else she was doing. Second, and most horrifying, every night we came in, we had to turn on the room lights and wait for ROACHES to start running around. After killing a few, we assumed we could go to sleep. I found a nest close to the room door the last night. We stuck some paper towels, and it seems the roaches went away faster than the previous nights. Lastly, the shower was OK, but there was neither a shower curtain nor a door. The bathroom was flooded, even when you tried to turn the shower head towards the wall to keep the water from spreading all over the bathroom floor. This motel is close to the Galveston Seawall. That is likely the reason they can get away with the service quality. FYI, we've stayed at other Motel 6s before.
