Echo Suites Extended Stay by Wyndham Nashville/ Gallatin

The room was very clean. The building is just a few months old, but it already is showing wear in public spaces. The parking lot, foyer, and hallways are dirty, dusty, and stained. The road leading to the hotel does not yet have the final coat of asphalt, so the manhole covers stick up dangerously so you may need to dodge them to avoid damage to your car’s undercarriage. The water pressure on the 4th floor is the worst I have ever experienced at a hotel in 50 years, but it stays hot for the 30 minutes it will take for a 5-minute shower. The walls are not sound-proof, so you can hear conversations next door. The staff were nice. There is a 24-hour vending machine and exercise room on the ground floor, and a 7-Eleven within an easy 250-yard walk.

The floor through the hotel looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in days. The lobby also had a sewer like smell all days we were there. We also found cockroaches in our room, so we checked out early and ended up moving to a different hotel for the duration of the trip.

Absolutely filthy. If we weren't so tired we would have found a different place to stay. Front desk staff was nice though so not completely terrible. The chairs were all chewed on by dogs. There was hair all over the room, not ours. Our feet were so dirty walking on the floors that we had to shower twice.

When we arrived to the hotel at about 11pm the front door was closed and locked. Had to wait on someone to come down to check us in. When you first walk in it smells like sewage and not clean. The managers son was who came down to help us and had to call his mom on the phone to help us at the front desk. Our room did not have an ironing board or iron and the front desk could not locate one. The room also did not have a full body mirror. Bed sheets were also not clean.

The hotel was okay for our very short one night stay during a softball tournament since we literally only slept there after a later game. The room itself was pretty clean, but the common areas, elevators, and hallways were very dirty. The floors looked like they had not been swept or mopped in a long time. There was wrappers, crumbs, dirt, and dead beetles (not roaches) all over the floors. The hotel has a strange smell too. The rooms are extremely bare bones. Beds are small metals frames with a basic mattress that was surprisingly very comfortable. They do not provide any shampoo/conditioner and there was no hair dryer, so make sure you bring everything you will need for showering. I think all of this is due to the hotel being an extended stay which I wasn’t super familiar with. The price was pretty cheap, and the hotel was fine for a very short stay.

We reserved an assessable room. The bed was less than 18” off the floor and we struggled to get up and down. Also the bed frame was bent allowing the mattress from to fall another inch or two when there was weight on the left side of the bed. We were waiting for it to collapse during the night. Also the commons area was right outside our door. It was noisy up to 3:00am. We like the location near our daughter’s home and have stayed before. Between the noise and the bed we may have to rethink our next visit.

At first glance, the room is nice. However, the television didn't work and after a long day of traveling, the wife and I just wanted to see the local news. Called front desk, and was never fixed. After exploring the area the next day, TV was still not working. Front desk said the manager would be in at 9pm to fix it. At 11PM, the manager called after we went to sleep and said she got there late and was not told about the previous night. Poor communication. Unresolved issues. Bed mattress not very comfortable. Won't be trying ECHO Suites again. Such a disappointment from a Wyndham property.

I my experience, I arrived very late, past midnight because a was working and upon reaching the room (it looked great and clean), there wasn’t even a single bottle of water…..I decided to go downstairs and buy one from the vending machines, buy they wouldn’t accept my purchase or my card
