Hotel Benois Reviews

We have just had a most delightful stay at this welcoming hotel. We stayed there two years ago. The staff are so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. They really want to make you feel at home. The restaurant food is really delicious, so much so that local Greeks pop in for an evening meal! The rooms all have movable mosquito screens plus they provide you with mosquito refills for the plug-ins. They also provide a kettle in your room plus tea and coffee. The beach is lovely with a walkway and there are also a couple of beach restaurants which are great for a lunch time snack. The bus service into Ermoupolis costs 2 euros and the buses are like upmarket travel coaches. They also stop at different places en route which gives you a flavour of the area and of course other beaches you can explore. There are two routes into Ermoupolis, one is quicker than the other. A bus timetable can be obtained from the reception desk.

Amazing hotel,set on the edge of the village across from a beautiful quiet sandy beach and next to a handful of little restaurants and tavernas. This is a great example of hospitality done well.fabulous staff,beautiful rooms and public areas great food and all done with style and service. I would recommend this hotel too anyone looking for beautiful understated service all day long. They cannot do enough for their customers .

The staff were all so friendly and kind. Very helpful with suggestions when we were going to Empouli. We visited Ciel beach club which we loved. The bedrooms were tastefully decorated and the hotel is a lovely boutique style hotel with design decor. The breakfast offered great selection. We had lunch by the pool area which was great with wide range of food options. My girls loved the milkshakes and fruit platter and fresh orange juice along with cocktails in the evening. It was my twins 18th and they organised a lovely cake to celebrate. Nothing was too much trouble. The beach is just across the road and a number of nice tavernas walkable. Very chilled. Lounging by the pool in the afternoon was very relaxing.

We have literally left the Hotel Benois today and are missing it already after getting to our Tinos hotel. The Benois is beautiful, very laid back and chilled boutique hotel. The whole place is kept spotlessly clean is decorated very Bo Ho and just a really relaxing place to holiday. All the staff are so friendly and always happy to help Genuinely lovely people. The food both for breakfast, lunch and dinner was all of an excellent standard and well priced. The breakfast was very varied with the best greek yoghurt anywhere! The room was of a good size with beautiful decor and a great ensuite with a walk in shower. Equally our terrace was large with table, seating and clothes drying facilities. Just a short stroll over the road to a very nice beach with plenty of tavernas to choose from. Bus stop outside the Hotel to get into Ermoupoli for 2 euros each way. We would highly recommend everything about the Benois and the lovely people who run it so professionally.

Just spent a fabulous week at hotel Benois fabulous hotel rooms nice beds comfortable lovely pool with comfortable loungers. Beach is across the road a handful of lovely restaurants all within 5-10 mins walk dinner at hotel very nice also. The staff are absolutely lovely nothing is too much trouble they are friendly and welcoming the bar also makes great cocktails we loved it!

This hotel is definitely a gem. We were going to ferry over to Mikonos but found the island so charming we stayed on Syros. The staff could not be friendlier, rooms clean, breakfast fantastic and to our surprise it was directly across the street from a beautiful beach with food/drinks service. The front desk gave great recommendations for a private tour guide and restaurant recommendations. Don't pass this island or hotel for a relaxing and pampering experience.

Hotel Benois is by far one of the best hotels I have visited…… Maria, Despoina and the team are the friendliest most accommodating staff I have met! Nothing was too much trouble, beautifully clean, food incredible, location perfect! This is a “must visit!”….. can’t wait to return Thank you for a lovely holiday - Wendy & Joni x

This is an absltly gorgeous hotel, lovely rooms, friendly staff, delicious brekkie, great pool, and the restaurant is also great, I celebrated my 50th here and couldnt think of anywhere I'd rather have been, very close to beach, thank-you, xxx

We had a very bad experience with the hotel during our vacation on August 24. Due to the security situation in Israel and the cancellation of foreign flights, we had to advance our flight to Israel and return on the Israeli airline El Al, and we informed the hotel of this 10 days in advance and asked to change the reservation from a 9-day stay to a 7-day stay. Despite the advance notice and in spite of the complex situation we are in, the hotel flatly refused to waive the charge for the last 2 days and was not ready for any compromise. They even charged us for breakfast that we surely did't hova. We have never experienced this kind of attitude and it is clear that we will never go back there

Excellent choice, very good breakfast with homemade and fresh plates. Very clean. Very friendly. The wifi needs improvement for sure. Nice pool bar and good restaurant. Very close to a sandy beach with clean water and beach bars. Free parking

We are staying at the hotel now. It is a simple but elegant hotel with all the charm of Greek island living. The staff are fabulous, friendly, courteous and so helpful. The rooms are very clean, the common areas also and the outside breakfast/lunch/ dinner areas are magical. It is indeed a beautiful but simple & magical hotel with all the comforts within a fingertip reach. There is a small supermarket right next door, taverns a few meters away, the beach right across the road & an amusement park for children. A wonderful stay for us.

Excellent hotel, fabulous helpful, friendly staff and 2 minutes from a lovely beach. The two nearest restaurants are excellent too. Rooms were lovely very large beds. Had lunch at the hotel a couple of times which was nice, swimming pool area was very well looked after.

The stay at the hotel Benois was wonderful! Everything was perfect, the hotel is very beautiful and super clean! It is located few meters from the beach with a very clear sea and the breakfast was so good with fresh & local products. The staff is very kind and always very helpful! Our room had the view on the beach so we could watch the sunset from our room’s balcony. The hotel’s restaurant is amazing, we ate dinner twice there as the food is very fresh and delicious! We recommend this hotel at 100%, it is a gem!

Fantastic, welcoming boutique hotel. Wonderful staff (many family members who are highly professional) and great pool with plenty of seating.. The restaurant was great for lunch snacks and evening meals were a good variety of high end and traditional food. Best we have eaten in three week island hopping holiday. Close to a very big beach with very gradual decent into the sea. Extremely well designed and we had the most fantastic room but as there is only one I shall not disclose it! It did have 2 showers, two toilets and three washbasisns. Best room we have ever stayed in. We will certainly be returning to this oasis of calm and style. HIghly recommended as out favourite Greek Island Hotel.
