A modern, quiet hotel with a magnificent view of the Corinthian Bay and beautiful gardens. Yet little things can spoil this idyllic picture. No lifesaver and no person to open the umbrellas around the swimming pool, most of which remained closed because they were too heavy. Lunch was not available, while nearby restaurants were several miles away. Sandwiches were available, but not freshly cut without warning. After an enquiry at the reception, I learned that the sandwiches were frozen. The bar attendant was arriving at 12.30 and, to save trips, he would bring the beer with a long delay after the sandwich. It took me two days to discover how the plug switches operated; to my surprise, they would not turn on when the power was activated.
