Situated at the foot of a ski resort, New Furano Hotel is surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. In the winter, Furano Ski Resort opens and is the perfect place for a ski vacation. The area experiences heavy snowfall and is often knee or waist-deep. The resort has all types of slopes, so whether you’re a beginner or seasoned skier, there’s something for everyone. Family Snowland is also a part of the resort and provides activities such as dog sledding and snowmobiling, ensuring fun for the whole family.
Furano is a great base from which to visit nearby cities from. Asahikawa, the second largest city in Hokkaido, can be reached by rail. In addition, Biei, a small town famous for its gorgeous natural scenery, is also part of the Furano Line. Visitors to Biei may be interested in the Kanno Farm or Patchwork Road.
