I stayed here from 30 April to 1st of May again everything just perfect The front of house go out of there way to help in anything you need Had a wonderfull room 401 Everything very clean the chambermaids very polite and helpful.. I always stay here when I come to madeira I have booked my next stay already in August... Overall just a fantastic place to stay

I stayed again here beacuse its a fantastic hotel with great staff especial in front of house i haved stayed here 4 times every time i stay in funchal i stayed in room 303 just perfeito the hotel nice and clean the chambermaid always kept my room clean over all just perfeito

BED BUGS! If thats not bad enough they were very unsympathetic towards us. I went in vacation by myself for the first time and upon the discovery they said they will clean it. We came back en checked again and they were still there. After that we talked too the reception again and i told the lady that i want a solution and i didnt want too sleep there again. They told me nothing we can do figure it out, you can speak with the boss tomorrow. As a paying customer i refuse this awful kind of service without as much as an apology. Beyond that, breakfast is 2 pieces of bread, 1 slice of cheese and one slice of ham. The cathedral hotel is much nicer ;)

This is a safe and clean place. The location is excellent with great walkability. The bed quality is poor. The walls are paper thin and you hear everything. The restaurant below will keep you up on Friday and Saturday nights. The weekday evenings were not nearly as bad. The front desk is efficient, though provide only the minimum. One small bar of soap is provided, don't ask for another. It will be refused.....never have I been to a place that is so cheap.

I stayed a few times here just fantastic if fact when i stay in funchal Always say here the front of house staff are excelente especial one lady dont know her name but all are excelente the rooms are very nice i stayed from the 7th till the 14th in room 102 fridge in room was just perfeito.... The chambermaids were just excelente Always clean room very polite as well Over all just perfeito i will Always stay here the place to stay in funchal... Thank you ....

Stayed in room 203, well, what can I say, shocking!! No Air Con, toilet seat broken and slides off, reported to reception and dismissed. When flushing the toilet the water come up to high and over flows, they have put a towel around the toilet to catch the over flows, very un hygienic. Barely any hot water unless you shower late at night. Doors slamming all through the night, poor sleep while staying. Strong smell of sewage through out the day.

Great value in a very clean hotel in the centre of Funchal. A very good place to see if al that you need is a bed, a shower and continental breakfast while you explore this wonderful island. Very efficient and friendly team help you find good local restaurants and special places to see. Try the local buses - efficient and great value.

Bad experience dealing with this hotel. Don't expect any sympathy in case you need to modify your booking. The owners don't make any effort to help its guests and disregard all poor reviews. Definitely not good value for money.
