Nice apartments in Funchal. Everything is the walking distance. It’s a bit uncomfortable that the reception and apartments are in the different places. There was no hairdryer in the apartment. Apartment is spacious and comfortable.

It was a very nice room. Room 201 was a corner room, so I had a great view of the mountains of Madeira. The kitchen was well-equipped, and I think it would be suitable for long-term stays.

The apartment is in the city center, fairly clean, and has everything you need, including a kitchenette and a washing machine. It also has a microwave, tea, and coffee. They gave me a bottle of local wine upon arrival. The water pressure was good. The only downside was the inconvenience of paying the regional tax. To pay it, you either have to go to their office (it's not in the same building) or send an IBAN. Plus, the hotel administration isn't very attentive. I initially sent them two passports, warning them that two people would be staying in the apartment, but they wanted to charge three for the tax.

The Good: Excellent central location near the Farmers Market and the ocean. ​The Noise: Impossible to sleep. Between the street noise, the rattling fridge, and the incredibly loud, creaking wooden floors, you hear every movement in the building. ​Hygiene Issues: Cockroaches were coming from behind the plastic panels in the renovated bathroom. ​Broken Promises: Despite the signs in the room, there was no housekeeping during a 3-night stay. Bins were not emptied, and towels were never replaced. ​The Breakfast: Very poor quality. Instead of a buffet, a staff member rations out basic ham, cheese, and bread.

Maybe our fault but when traveling afar things need to be absolutely transparent, clear and easy. We arrived at location (paid to get there) only to be dropped off and find out had to walk 1/2 mile to another building just to get a code to get in building. Get to alternate location only to find out there are more fees/taxes to pay - all fees should be posted when booking a location. Otherwise just know there is some street noise but good location, clean and safe.

The relentless road traffic noise from the 3 roads ( 2 of which are main trunk roads into funchal with non stop busses and coaches) spoilt what is otherwise a very good appartment. It has all you need in it and the location ( other than being on a trunk road) is great . The check in process is a pain if you have not sent copy of your passport ahead. The B&B you have to find is at least 1/2 mile away and up steep steps. Also, finding the appartment was initially not very easy on google maps.

The room was very clean and a perfect configuration for a couple to hang out and relax as well as a place to sleep. We appreciated the kitchenette, the laundry facilities that were free including detergent, and the location was great. It was super quiet in the area and only a few steps away from the old part of town.
